Manager Jurgen Klinsmann's hand was forced with Jermaine Jones, Alejandro Bedoya and Bobby Wood serving suspensions following cards in the team's quarterfinal win vs. Ecuador. The U.S. appealed the suspensions for Jones and Wood, but the appeal was rejected.
The three players were all members of the 2014 World Cup squad that lost in the round of 16 to Belgium in Brazil.
DeAndre Yedlin, who missed the Ecuador match after picking up a pair of yellow cards against Paraguay, returns to the lineup at right-back.
