Leicester City defender Callum Elder is set to sign a new deal at the club before going out on loan again, sources have told ESPN FC.
Australia under-20 international Elder is in advanced talks with the Premier League champions over a new three-year deal at the King Power Stadium and terms are close to being finalised.
Elder is yet to make his first-team debut for Leicester, but is highly regarded at the club after coming through the youth ranks.
The left-back has enjoyed spells out on loan at Mansfield and Peterborough in the last two seasons and with his first-team chances under Claudio Ranieri set to be limited next season the club are willing to loan him out again.
Several Championship and League One sides have already expressed an interest in taking Elder on loan and once his new contract is finalised Leicester are expected to allow him to go out and gain valuable first-team football to aid his development.
