TOP STORY: Kyle Walker set to leave Man City for Bayern Munich
Manchester City defender Kyle Walker is eager to join Bayern Munich permanently, with advanced talks taking place between him and German champions, reports Sky Sports Deutschland's Florian Plettenberg.
It has been reported that the 33-year-old would like to depart the Etihad in the summer after six years at Man City, following a difficult season where Walker struggled for consistent minutes under manager Pep Guardiola. Walker did not start in the Champions League final triumph against Internazionale, with Manuel Akanji being favoured ahead of Walker, which has left the England international open to a move away.
The report reveals that whilst Manchester City and Bayern Munich have not yet reached an agreement, all parties are optimistic that a deal can be reached, with Bayern's head coach Thomas Tuchel proving to be vital in convincing Walker to join the Bavarian club.
The Premier League champions will be eager to offload Walker this summer to ensure he does not depart on a free transfer next year, with the right-back having just one year remaining on his current deal.
Walker has also been linked with a return to his boyhood club Sheffield United, however, this now looks unlikely, with the Blades unable to offer Champions League football.

21.57 BST: Besiktas are interested in a loan move for Barcelona right-back Sergiño Dest, reports Calciomercato. The 22-year-old U.S. international endured a difficult loan spell with AC Milan last season, where he made just 14 appearances in all competitions, and struggled with injury problems.
21.24 BST: West Ham are preparing a £40m bid for Fulham midfielder Joao Palhinha, according to Ekrem Konur. The 27-year-old Portugal international enjoyed a stellar first season in the Premier League, making 35 top-flight appearances after joining from Sporting CP last summer for a £20m transfer fee, and the Hammers see him as a potential solution in midfield after the expected departure of captain Declan Rice.
20.51 BST: Chelsea forward Romelu Lukaku has turned down a proposal from Saudi Arabia in favour of remaining in Europe, reports Fabrizio Romano. The 30-year-old Belgium international spent last season on loan at Inter Milan, where he registered 14 goals in all competitions, and he has his heart set on a return to the San Siro.
20.18 BST: Werder Bremen forward Niclas Füllkrug is being monitored by Bayern Munich as the Bundesliga champions look for forward reinforcements, according to Sky Sport Deutschland's Florian Plettenberg. The 30-year-old Germany international netted 16 league goals last season and would represent a more cost-effective alternative to the likes of Tottenham's Harry Kane and Napoli's Victor Osimhen. Füllkrug is under contract until 2025.

The 25-year-old Brazil international was a mainstay for the Magpies last season, featuring 40 times across all competitions, netting five goals and five assists in the process, with clubs across Europe monitoring his situation.
19.12 BST: Arsenal midfielder Thomas Partey and Granit Xhaka are nearing exits as the Gunners look to undergo a midfield transformation, according to the Telegraph. The report suggests that Arsenal will listen to offers for the former while the latter is closing in on a £13m move to Bayer Leverkusen, while the north London outfit are still in talks with West Ham regarding a move for Declan Rice.
18.39 BST: Chelsea will up their efforts to sign Brighton midfielder Moises Caicedo after having their £60m bid rejected, according to the Daily Mail. The report suggest that the Seagulls are eyeing an £80m transfer fee to part ways with the 21-year-old Ecuador international, who has been earmarked as a priority signing by Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino.
18.06 BST: Two clubs from Saudi Arabia are keeping tabs on Marseille winger Alexis Sanchez, according to Ekrem Konur. The 34-year-old Chile international sees his contract with the French outfit expire at the end of the month, and he seems destined to depart the club, despite an impressive season in which he netted 18 goals across all competitions.
17.33 BST: Manchester United are confident they can tempt Chelsea to part with midfielder Mason Mount for a £50m transfer fee, according to Rudy Galetti. The 24-year-old England international is under contract at Stamford Bridge until next June, meaning the Blues will have to part ways with the Cobham graduate this summer to ensure he does not leave for free.
17.00 BST: A delegation from Saudi Arabia's Public Investment Fund arrived in London on Tuesday ahead of meeting senior figures at Chelsea over moves for several players.
Sources have told ESPN's James Olley that Al Nassr chief executive Ahmed Al Ghamdi is also part of the travelling party, arriving with the aim of completing a deal for winger Hakim Ziyech. The 30-year-old has agreed personal terms but a transfer fee is yet to be agreed between the clubs.
The PIF delegation are also negotiating deals for goalkeeper Edouard Mendy, who could join Al Ahli, and defender Kalidou Koulibaly, who has interested Al Hilal. Midfielder N'Golo Kante is expected to sign for Al Ittihad when his Chelsea contract expires at the end of the month.
16.27 BST: Ansu Fati has reiterated his desire to remain at Barcelona amid continued speculation over his future.
Fati, 20, scored 10 goals for Barca this past season but was largely a backup option for coach Xavi Hernandez with Robert Lewandowski, Raphinha and Ousmane Dembele preferred to him.
With Barca's need to reduce the wage bill and raise money this summer, he is one of the players who has been linked with a big money move away from the Catalan club.
"I have a contract with Barca and my intention is to keep improving and growing with the club," Fati told Teledeporte after helping Spain win the UEFA Nations League on Sunday.
"That is my aim. I am happy, both with my club and the national team."
Fati's comments come on the back of his agent, Jorge Mendes, telling reporters last week that he would not be leaving the club and that he will "win the Ballon d'Or one day."
The Spain forward burst on to the scene as 16-year-old in 2019 but a series of injuries, the first in 2020, slowed down his career, although he has remained injury-free this year.

15.44 BST: Antoine Griezmann has once again expressed a desire to play in MLS in the future.
The France and Atletico Madrid forward -- who was identified by many as LaLiga's best player last season, scoring 15 goals and providing a league-high 16 assists -- was speaking at a news conference with his national team on Sunday.
"It's a dream of mine," Griezmann, 32, said. "I want it to be in the best possible conditions when I go there, but it's certainly an objective in the future."
Griezmann -- a fan of U.S. culture and sports, and particularly the NBA -- has repeatedly said that he would like to end his career in MLS and in 2021 he identified June 2024 as a possible date for the move.

15.09 BST: The Brazilian Football Association (CBF) are considering appointing Davide Ancelotti, Real Madrid manager Carlo's son, in a coaching role with the national team, sources have told ESPN Alex Kirkland and Rodrigo Faez, to help with the transition as they wait to appoint Ancelotti Sr. himself in June 2024.
CBF president Ednaldo Rodrigues has repeatedly stated that Ancelotti is his preferred choice to take charge of Brazil following the departure of Tite after the 2022 World Cup, but the Madrid boss has said he intends to see out his contract at the Bernabeu, which has one year left to run.
Sources told ESPN Brazil the CBF are looking at how best to handle the interim period, with one option being appointing Davide Ancelotti -- who is serving as his father's assistant at Madrid -- to work with Brazil interim manager Ramon Menezes in the meantime.
Sources close to Ancelotti told ESPN they would not rule out the Italian taking charge of Brazil in June 2024, when his Madrid contract expires.
A meeting to discuss the situation is due to take place at the end of this month.
14.36 BST: Pep Guardiola said Manchester City are fighting with Barcelona over the signature of Ilkay Gundogan, with sources telling ESPN's Sam Marsden and Moises Llorens that the midfielder will make a decision on his future this week.
Gundogan, 32, is out of contract with City at the end of June, but the Champions League winners have offered him the chance to extend his seven-year stay at the club.
Barca are also keen to sign the Germany international, and Guardiola said he knows the Catalan club's coach, Xavi Hernandez, has been in touch with the player.
"We are interested in renewing his contract and [Barcelona] are also interested," Guardiola told reporters at the Puma Legends golf tournament on Monday. "I hope he stays with us. We are still fighting for him to stay with us. He is a player we want to stay -- and we will do all we can -- but we know Barca want him.
"If Barca sign him, they will have a spectacular footballer on their hands. I am aware Xavi has called him a lot. If, in the end, he picks Barca, I will tell him he will enjoy himself."
Sources told ESPN in March that Barca had sounded out a move for Gundogan, with sources last week explaining they were still waiting on the former Borussia Dortmund player's final decision.
Xavi has made it clear he wants to add more goals and creativity to midfield this summer, saying a "Santi Cazorla-type player" would be the ideal signing to help build on a first LaLiga title since 2019.
13.58 BST: Chelsea are under pressure to drop their asking price for Arsenal target Kai Havertz after being informed he has no intention of signing a new contract, sources have told ESPN's James Olley.
Arsenal are interested in pursuing a move for the 24-year-old but have so far proved reluctant to meet their London rivals' £70 million valuation of Havertz.
Sources have told ESPN that Havertz is open to joining Arsenal and the club do not view his existing wage at Chelsea -- thought to be around £220,000-a-week -- as prohibitive to a transfer. They have had one offer rejected so far but are expected to return with an improved bid.
It remains to be seen whether Bayern Munich enter the running having previously expressed an interest in Havertz.
Chelsea will hope Bayern table a bid to help drive the price up, but regardless Havertz is believed to have informed the club he has no desire to extend his contract, which expires in 2025.

13.20 BST: Eden Hazard has joked that he's been "resting for three years" following an injury-hit spell at Real Madrid -- but insisted he isn't thinking about leaving football altogether, after retiring from the Belgium national team.
The forward, 32, left Madrid this month by mutual consent after his contract at the Bernabeu was terminated a year early.
Hazard retired from international football after the 2022 World Cup, and Belgium players, staff and fans paid tribute to their former captain during the team's 1-1 European Championship 2024 qualifying draw with Austria in Brussels on Saturday.
"I still feel capable of being a professional footballer, my body can take it," Hazard told Belgium's RTBF. "I've been resting for two or three years, so I still have a bit of energy!"
Hazard made just six LaLiga appearances last season -- two of them starts -- without scoring a single goal, bringing an end to a disappointing four years in Madrid after joining the club from Chelsea in 2019.
"I don't like watching games. It's frustrating as a player, you always want to help," Hazard said. "I still don't know anything [about my future], honestly.
"After three difficult years, I just want to spend time with my family, go on holiday, like anyone else ... I've read a lot of things in the last few days, a lot of nonsense. I still don't know. We'll see."
12.43 BST: Barcelona have announced the signing of Senegal defender Mikayil Faye from Croatian side NK Kustosija for the club's B team.
Faye, 18, has agreed a deal with the Catalan club until 2027 and his release clause has been fixed at €400 m.
Barca have not confirmed the fee, but sources say the initial cost of the transfer, before factoring in potential add-ons, is around €1.5m.
Faye will be part of Rafa Marquez's Barça Atletic side, who play in the third tier of Spanish football.
12.17 BST: Morocco midfielder Sofyan Amrabat would like to play for Atletico Madrid, Diario AS reports, but the likelihood of a move will depend on the transfer fee his club Fiorentina expect to receive.
Amrabat, 26, starred for his country at the 2022 World Cup and has since been linked with a move to a number of big clubs, including Barcelona.
According to AS, Atletico are looking for a holding midfielder as they intend to let Geoffrey Kondogbia go.
Amrabat would be keen to play for Diego Simeone's side, and with his contract up in 2024, Fiorentina might accept a fee of under €20m.
James Olley explains Chelsea's interest in Villarreal striker Nicolas Jackson.
11.52 BST: Chelsea are considering whether to trigger the €35m release clause in Villarreal forward Nicolas Jackson's contract in the coming days, sources have told ESPN's James Olley.
The 21-year-old is believed to have agreed personal terms on a move to Stamford Bridge and talks between the clubs are expected to progress later this week after Jackson represents Senegal against Brazil on Tuesday.
It remains possible that Chelsea may try to negotiate a lower fee with Villarreal given Jackson's willingness to leave but the Spanish club would ideally prefer not to sell. Sources also suggest other clubs have expressed an interest in Jackson. He almost moved to Bournemouth in January before the deal collapsed when the player sustained a hamstring injury. It is understood at least one club in Germany is also monitoring the situation.
11.18 BST: Paris Saint-Germain remain in negotiations with Real Mallorca over the signing of South Korea international Lee Kang-In, Marca reports.
PSG have made a bid of €22m plus add-ons for the attacking midfielder, but are not willing to consider loaning one of their players to Mallorca as part of the deal.
Lee, 22, is away on postseason international duty, and is expected to have a medical with the Ligue 1 champions after that if talks with Mallorca continue to progress.
10.41 BST: Barcelona have completed the signing of Spain full-back Ona Batlle from Manchester United as a free agent, the Catalan club announced on Monday.
Batlle, 24, has agreed a three-year deal with Barca with her contract with United due to expire at the end of June. She returns to the club where she previously spent six years before leaving in 2017.
After coming through the academy and playing for the B team, Battle left Barca for Madrid CFF in 2017 in search of regular first team football. She spent one season in Madrid before signing for Levante. She then joined United in 2020, making 77 appearances across three years with the Women's Super League side and helping them qualify for next season's Champions League for the first time in the club's history.
Batlle becomes Barca's first signing of the summer and will find a very different team to the one she left six years ago. Since then, Barca have reached four Champions League finals, having never previously been in one, winning the competition two times, in 2021 and again this season, beating Wolfsburg in the final.
Jonatan Giraldez's side have also won Liga F in each of the last four seasons and recently, after already wrapping up the title, saw a 64-game unbeaten league streak ended.

10.16 BST: Real Madrid have signed Espanyol and Spain forward Joselu on a season-long loan with an option to make the deal permanent, the club announced on Monday.
Joselu, 33, scored 16 LaLiga goals for Espanyol last season -- only Robert Lewandowski and Karim Benzema scored more -- as they were relegated from Spain's top flight.
He was part of Spain's squad for the UEFA Nations League final four, scoring the winner against Italy in their 2-1 semifinal victory after coming on as an 84th-minute substitute.
Madrid have been looking to bring in a striker after Benzema and Mariano Diaz left this month, leaving Vinicius Junior and Rodrgyo as the club's only senior forwards.

09.34 BST: England manager Gareth Southgate has joked that many of his players are "tapping each other up" but warned them not to worry about uncertain futures this summer.
Several members of Southgate's squad including captain Harry Kane, Declan Rice, Harry Maguire, Kyle Walker, James Maddison and Conor Gallagher could move clubs in the coming weeks.
England are training at Manchester United's Carrington base ahead of their final fixture of the season -- Monday's Euro 2024 qualifier against North Macedonia.
When asked how the speculation could affect his players at international level, Southgate said: "The players are tapping each other up anyway on the quiet so I can't do anything about that! What I have said is these things run their course, they happen in their own time, you can't force it as a player. Don't get frustrated, don't be asking all summer.
"You don't need to be updated on every call that happens. A lot of negotiation goes on. I remember as a player getting too wrapped up in every detail of that.
"In the end, there is only a small amount that you can actually control. I think all of those things will happen later on in the summer, and I think the players understand that. They know the focus for the next 36 hours is this game, finishing the season well, making sure we're set on 12 points and we will be in a very healthy position if we do that."
Manchester United defender Luke Shaw was asked about the possibility of Kane and Kane moving to Old Trafford this summer, to which he replied: "I would love a few of them to join -- I am not going to lie.
"I am speaking to them, telling them how good Manchester is, because I know their qualities.
"I know they are world-class players and they would be a massive help to us but I can only say so much. It is up to the club and whatever they decide, so we have to go from there.
"It is not normally discussed but, because of the time of the season and what is going on, there is a lot of talk, a lot of banter."
08.41 BST: European clubs should not be afraid of a player exodus to Saudi Arabia, UEFA president Aleksander Ceferin said on Sunday, suggesting the country was making a mistake investing in stars at the end of their careers.
Cristiano Ronaldo and Karim Benzema have been paid record-high contracts to join Saudi Arabian clubs this year, and similar offers were made to Lionel Messi and Luka Modric. They have combined to win every Ballon d'Or awarded since 2008, and all are at least 35.
More players are expected to follow after four top Saudi Arabian clubs were effectively nationalised this month when taken into majority ownership by the Public Investment Fund sovereign wealth operation chaired by Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman.
Portugal international Ruben Neves is the latest player to be linked with a move, with Sky Sports reporting that Wolverhampton Wanderers have accepted a £47m bid from Al Hilal for the 26-year-old, who had been a target for Barcelona.
Ceferin was asked by Dutch broadcaster NOS if he was afraid of a player exodus, and answered emphatically: "No, no, no."
"I think that it's mainly a mistake for Saudi Arabian football. Why is that a problem for them? Because they should invest in academies, they should bring coaches, and they should develop their own players."
"The system of buying the players that almost ended their career is not the system that develops football," he added. "It was a similar mistake in China when they all brought players who are at the end of their career."
Didier Drogba was the star recruit to the Chinese league in 2012 as clubs there bought Europe-based forwards such as Nicolas Anelka and Frederic Kanoute. However, the Chinese league and men's national team have made little progress internationally in the years since.
"Tell me one player who is top, top age and who starts his career and went to play in Saudi Arabia?" Ceferin asked during the interview on the sideline of the Nations League Finals hosted in the Netherlands. "But it's not about money only. Players want to win top competitions. And top competition is in Europe."
08.00 BST: Talks between Barcelona and Athletico Paranaense over the transfer of forward Vitor Roque are progressing well, sources have told ESPN's Sam Marsden and Moises Llorens.
Barca are in the market for a backup striker to Robert Lewandowski and have turned their attention to Roque, with new sporting director Deco leading the negotiations.
Roque, 18, is the club's first option because as well as helping take some of the load off Lewandowski this season, he is also viewed as a player who could one day replace the Poland international, who will turn 35 years old in August.
Reports in Spain suggested this weekend that Barca have reached an agreement with Athletico worth a potential €45m including add-ons. Sources close negotiations did not confirm an agreement to ESPN but did say that talks are advancing and there is optimism a deal will be concluded this summer.
However, agreeing a fee with Athletico is only part of the puzzle, sources added, with Barca also needing to free up salary space and room in their squad before committing to signings.

- AC Milan have set their sights on Chelsea winger Christian Pulisic, report Calciomercato. The 24-year-old has one year remaining on his contract at Stamford Bridge, and after just netting one goal last season, could be on his way out of the club this summer. The report suggests that alongside discussing a move for Chelsea midfielder Carney Chukwuemeka, the two clubs will meet to discuss a potential deal for Pulisic, with the United States international possibly open for a loan switch to the San Siro.
- Liverpool are monitoring the situation of Crystal Palace attacking-midfielder Eberechi Eze, per Ekrem Konur. The 24-year-old netted 10 goals, alongside four assists, in thePremier League last season, attracting the attention of many top clubs in the process. Eze is under contract at Selhurst Park until 2025, which would suggest that the Reds will need to dig deep into their pockets to secure the services of the recently-capped England international.
- Hakim Ziyech is nearing a Chelsea exit, with negotiations progressing well between the midfielder and Al Nassr, according to Fabrizio Romano. The west London outfit are keen for a deal to be struck and want the move to be completed next week. The 30-year-old is reported to be keen on the transfer, with a move to Al Nassr offering the Moroccan the chance to play alongside Cristiano Ronaldo. Ziyech has struggled at Stamford Bridge, since his move from Ajax in 2020, which has left the Blues happy to part ways with the midfielder.
- West Ham forward Gianluca Scamacca is closing in on completing a move to Roma, according to Football Insider. The report reveals that the 24-year-old has agreed terms with the Italian giants, whilst West Ham are willing to let Scamacca exit on a loan, or loan-to-buy deal. However, the Conference League winners need to find a replacement for the Italy international before allowing the forward to depart. Scamacca endured a difficult first season in England, netting just three Premier League goals.
- The Saudi Ministry of Sport has sent an official offer to midfielder Marco Verratti, with Al-Hilal showing interest in the 30-year-old, per Rudy Galetti. The Paris Saint-Germain playmaker could part ways with the Ligue 11 outfit, as PSG are set to undergo an overhaul this summer, following another disappointing Champions League campaign. Verratti is under contract with the French champions until 2026, and Galetti suggests the Italian will respond to the proposal from Saudi Arabia in the coming days.
