UFC Fight Night in Greenville, South Carolina, has a new co-main event, and it's a rematch.
John Lineker will replace Cody Stamann on short notice and fight Rob Font in a bantamweight bout on the June 22 card, the UFC announced Wednesday. The card will air on ESPN+.
Stamann injured a shoulder and was forced to withdraw, according to his manager, Jason House.
Lineker (31-9) has met Font before, beating him by unanimous decision at UFC 198 in May 2016. The Brazilian slugger is coming off a split-decision loss to Cory Sandhagen in April. Before that loss, Lineker, 28, was on a two-fight winning streak to etch his name among the top bantamweights in the UFC.
Font (16-4) most recently defeated Sergio Pettis in December and has won four of his past six fights. Font, 31, is trying to crack the upper echelon of the 135-pound division.
The June 22 card, the promotion's first trip to South Carolina, will be headlined by a featherweight fight between Renato Moicano and "The Korean Zombie" Chan Sung Jung.
