ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. -- The Buffalo Bills may be without Ty Nsekhe for the foreseeable future, as coach Sean McDermott announced Wednesday the right tackle is "week to week" with an ankle injury.
Nsekhe's right leg was rolled under in the third quarter and medical staff immediately immobilized the leg before carting him off the field. McDermott did not specify any further on the injury.
The former Washington Redskins and Los Angeles Rams lineman has played 56% of the Bills' offensive snaps in his first year with the team, including one start in nine games played. He has split time with rookie Cody Ford at the position dating back to training camp.
Ford, a second-round pick, will presumably be Buffalo's primary right tackle while Nsekhe is out, although the depth behind Ford has yet to be determined. Ryan Bates is capable of playing either tackle position, but the Bills brought in offensive tackles Brian Mihalik, Sam Young, Caleb Benenoch and Corey Robinson and guard Austin Pasztor for workouts after Sunday's game.
With or without Nsekhe, the Bills' offensive line has its work cut out for it over the next week and a half. They'll host the Broncos and edge rusher Von Miller on Sunday before traveling to Dallas to face Cowboys defensive ends DeMarcus Lawrence and Robert Quinn on Thanksgiving. Lawrence and Miller each have 29.5 sacks since 2017, which ranks ninth in the NFL during that span, while Quinn currently ranks seventh in the NFL in sacks this season with 8.5.
Bills defensive end Jerry Hughes (groin) and safety Siran Neal (concussion) also missed practice Wednesday.
