Tom Brady will be leaving the New England Patriots, he announced on Tuesday, and there has been plenty of reaction to the news about the six-time Super Bowl-winning quarterback departing the team that drafted him No. 199 overall in the sixth round in 2000.
Brady, 42, has not yet made a decision on where he will play and is exploring his options, a league source told ESPN's Adam Schefter.
"Although my football journey will take place elsewhere, I appreciate everything that we have achieved and am grateful for our incredible TEAM accomplishments," he wrote.

Practice against Tom Brady everyday was like playing on the 92' Dream Team. He brought that much intensity to the practice field. Which ever team he lands I'm sure he will continue his legacy of playing a great brand of football. #TB12 pic.twitter.com/Y6tKUOapIk

Robert Kraft to ESPN: "Tommy initiated contact last night & came over. We had a positive, respectful discussion. It's not the way I want it to end, but I want him to do what is in his best personal interest. After 20 years with us, he has earned that right. I love him like a son"

Despite today's proclamation that he would not be returning to New England, Tom Brady has not made a decision on where he will play next season and he will be exploring his options, per a league source.

For months, Tom Brady has been plotting his departure from New England. But to announce it on St. Patrick's Day when every bar in Boston is closed? Ice cold.

I'm talking to sources with both the Bucs and Chargers and they continue to tell me they have no idea what Tom Brady is going to do. These two teams are watching Tom Brady slow play this with the rest of us.
