CHICAGO -- Chicago Bears running back David Montgomery wasted no time on Sunday against the Houston Texans. On the Bears' first offensive play, Montgomery took a handoff from quarterback Mitchell Trubisky and ran -- virtually untouched -- to the end zone for an 80-yard touchdown.

Montgomery is on a tear. The 2019 third-round pick rushed for 103 yards against the Green Bay Packers two weeks ago and has scored touchdowns in three straight games. The last Bear to accomplish that feat was wide receiver Allen Robinson in 2019.

Montgomery's 80-yard rush was a career long. It marked the first 80-yard touchdown run by the Bears since Neal Anderson versus the Packers on Nov. 27, 1988.
