Ryan Fitzpatrick went shirtless in freezing temps at the Buffalo Bills game on Saturday

BUFFALO, N.Y. -- Shirts are apparently not a requirement for attending Buffalo Bills football games in freezing temperatures. Just ask Washington Football Team quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick. Seriously.

The former Bills quarterback was photographed shirtless by several fans while he was observing Buffalo's 47-17 blowout win over the New England Patriots in the AFC wild-card game from the stands. The game-time temperature was 7 degrees. It does not appear, however, that he spent the entire game without his shirt on as there are also photos surfacing online of the quarterback bundled up for the elements.

Fitzpatrick played for the Bills from 2009 to 2012, starting 53 games during that stretch and throwing 80 touchdowns to 64 interceptions. He has played for nine different teams, but spent the most time with the Bills and remains well-regarded in Buffalo. On an Adam Schefter podcast in 2020, Fitzpatrick said that Buffalo remains special to him.

"My favorite NFL city, I mean, it's Buffalo." Fitzpatrick said.

Several other former Bills players were in attendance for the win, including Jim Kelly and Thurman Thomas.

Fitzpatrick missed almost the entire season in his first year with Washington due to a hip injury suffered in Week 1. He is set to become a free agent when the 2022 league year begins.
