NRL Round 3 and 4 match-ups announced

After a two-month hiatus thanks to the COVID-19 pandemic, the NRL has confirmed the clashes which will mark the return of the 2020 season, starting May 28.

Venues are yet to be determined, but, as expected, Queensland teams will play the opening two rounds of the return in the sunshine state.

The first game back sees the mouth-watering collision of two undefeated teams as the Eels travel north to take on the impressive Broncos. The last time these two teams met, the Eels dished out a 58-0 thrashing in the 2019 finals.

Friday night is set for the blockbuster battle between traditional rivals, the struggling Roosters and Latrell Mitchell's Rabbitohs.

Saturday's triple header culminates with the Melbourne Storm hosting last year's grand finalist Canberra Raiders in another game that will see a team lose for the first time this season.

On Sunday the unbeaten Panthers will host the unbeaten Knights in another entertaining proposition. The round finishing off with the possible return of Bulldogs playmaker Kieran Foran against his old club Manly.

New Zealand Warriors, based in Tamworth currently, will play their home games at yet to be determined venues in NSW. The NRL will finalise the exact locations once all biosecurity protocols are in place.

Round 4 will open with the Broncos hosting the reigning premier Roosters before concluding with the Queen's Birthday clash between the Dragons and Bulldogs on Monday, June 8.
