Fiji make changes for Tonga clash

Fiji's rugby coach, Wayne Pivac has made four changes with only one new player to be introduced to test rugby when his side take on Tonga in a Pacific Five Nations match in Gosford on Saturday.

Fijian sevens forward Sakiusa Matadigo, 23, will play his first test after missing last Saturday's match against the Junior All Blacks after he sufered a head injury during training.

"It's his baptism of fire and I think he's ready to take the opportunity with both hands," Pivac said of his new No 8.

Apart from Matadigo, Pivac has named Akapusi Qera at openside flanker to replace an injured Aca Ratuva. Qera has played in the position for Fiji previously.

In the backline 23-year old Kameli Ratuvou has been named at second five-eighth, with former Otago midfielder Seru Rabeni relegated to the bench, while Japan-based Sekove Leawere has replaced Rupeni Caucaunibuca on the left wing.

Ratuvou played five tests at second five-eighth last year.
