Bengals wideout A.J. Green returns to practice Wednesday

CINCINNATI -- Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver A.J. Green was back at practice for the first time since he was carted off with a Grade II hamstring tear against the Bills in Week 11.

Green was officially listed as a limited participant in practice, however, during the portion open to the media, he did not run routes or participate in any individual drills. Green stood with the wide receiver group and watched the drills instead.

Bengals coach Marvin Lewis said on Monday that Green would test out the hamstring this week and decide his game status later.

“We’ll see how he practices and see what he can do,” Lewis said Monday. “When he goes out and proves he can do it on the practice field, then he’ll be back ready to go.”

Also limited: Clint Boling, Carlos Dunlap, Brandon LaFell, Derron Smith and C.J. Uzomah. Adam Jones (ankle), Wallace Gilberry (calf) and James Wright (knee) did not practice. Long-snapper Clark Harris was full participation.
