A breakdown of the Detroit Lions 2018 draft class and its progress after three weeks of training camp.

Frank Ragnow, OL, first round: Ragnow has been everything the Lions have needed so far at left guard, settling in as a starter immediately and at times looking like the best lineman Detroit has. If it translates to the regular season, Detroit might have found a player for the next decade.

Kerryon Johnson, RB, second round: He has been good for the most part, although not getting a ton of first-team work (for now) behind Ameer Abdullah, LeGarrette Blount and Theo Riddick. He has 43 yards in two games, second on the team in rushing behind Blount. By the regular season, he should have a role -- perhaps a big one -- in the run game.

Tracy Walker, DB, third round: Walker is coming along as a developmental project and is going to be a core special teams player. Barring injury, that’s where he’ll be -- and where he has been, rep-wise -- so far.

Da'Shawn Hand, DL, fourth round: He has ascended the depth chart in recent weeks, including getting a bunch of first-team reps in the second preseason game against the Giants. No one on the defensive line has looked particularly good this camp, but Hand is pushing for a role by the time Week 1 rolls around.

Tyrell Crosby, OL, fifth round: Crosby is settling into a possible role as the sixth offensive lineman this fall and has had good days and bad days -- which you’d expect from a rookie lineman. It has been difficult, though, to get a true gauge on where he’s at.

Nick Bawden, FB, seventh round: Any analysis of Bawden will wait until 2019. He suffered a torn ACL in the spring and is out for the year.
