          Texans have two players selected to Pro Bowl

          The Houston Texans had two players named to the Pro Bowl. Here's a look at who was selected and who wasn't selected:

          SELECTIONS

          DeAndre Hopkins, WR, 2nd Pro Bowl: Hopkins leads the NFL with 12 receiving touchdowns, and he has done so with three quarterbacks throwing to him this season. Hopkins is just 19 catches and 208 yards away from matching his career highs that he set in 2015. Hopkins' 12 touchdowns this season are a franchise record.

          Jadeveon Clowney, DE, 2nd Pro Bowl: Clowney is having the best season of his young career with nine sacks, 50 tackles, 18 tackles for a loss and 20 quarterback hits. He's had this success without defensive end J.J. Watt or outside linebacker Whitney Mercilus, meaning he is the focal point of the Texans' pass-rush for the first time in his career. Clowney has established himself as the Texans' best defensive player this season and might be due for a big payday in the offseason, as he'll be a free agent after the 2018 season.

          OTHER CANDIDATES

          Shane Lechler, P: Lechler has been selected to seven other Pro Bowls and was a candidate again this season. The veteran leads the NFL in punts (81) and is averaging the third-most yards per punt (48.9).
