AUSTIN, Texas -- For months, Jameis Winston has been hearing everyone from national recruiting analysts to the locals in Hueytown, Ala., speculate that the nation's No. 1 quarterback will either stick with Florida State or flip and sign with Alabama.
And for months, a third program has flown under the radar, one that never stopped recruiting Winston after he committed: Stanford.
Winston told ESPN on Sunday while in Austin, Texas, for the International Bowl, that he is still seriously considering signing with the Cardinal. On Saturday, Stanford coach David Shaw called Winston's father to confirm Winston has been admitted into the school should he choose to sign there.
