Wolfsburg are not worried about Kevin De Bruyne's commitment despite the Belgium international saying his future was uncertain, sporting executive Klaus Allofs has said.
De Bruyne has been strongly linked with Manchester City this summer, while Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain are also reported to be interested in the 24-year-old.
The Daily Mirror recently claimed City were willing to spend £60 million on the former Chelsea player and, when asked where he would be playing this season, De Bruyne told kicker magazine: "I don't know."
However, Allofs has told Wolfsburg Allgemeine Zeitung that De Bruyne was just being honest, saying: "Those who know Kevin know that this is a confession. We don't want any declarations [of loyalty] that are of no value the next day."
He added: "Looking at how Kevin trains and how he played the [preseason] matches, he is fully committed to VfL. I know that he's here with his heart and soul."
However, Allofs -- who previously suggested De Bruyne might be sold if he requested a move -- added that Wolfsburg would treat any offers that were to arise "seriously."
He added that, although De Bruyne is a young player, "he knows that certain things can develop in football."
