Douglas Costa, Oscar others can reach Neymar's level for Brazil - Tite

Corinthians manager Tite believes Brazil have a number of players who can reach the level of current star and captain Neymar, who he says "makes a difference" for the Selecao.

Brazil has come under criticism for a disappointing display in their first 2018 World Cup qualifier at Chile on Thursday, with questions being asked of a number of player selections following poor performances in Santiago.

Regarded by many as the frontrunner for the Brazil job following Luiz Felipe Scolari's dismissal as manager in 2014, Tite says the side still have players who can rise to the standards of the accomplished Barcelona star.

"Today, Neymar is a player who makes a difference, but there are players who can reach his level. Douglas [Costa], William, Oscar, Renato Augusto, a lot of players who have potential to make a difference," Tite told ESPN Brasil.

Corinthians, who currently sit five points clear atop the Brazilian league table, sent three players to Chile for Brazil's qualifier in Santiago last week -- midfielders Elias and Renato Augusto as well as defender Gil.

In his five years in charge of the Sao Paulo giants, Tite has brought home Club World Cup, Copa Libertadores, Serie A and Sao Paulo state titles.
