Joan Verdu has followed Giuseppe Rossi's example by leaving Fiorentina to join Levante.
The 32-year-old midfielder -- a product of Barcelona's La Masia academy -- returns to Spain on a free transfer after rescinding his contract with Fiorentina, for whom he signed in August.

Italian striker Rossi joined Primera Division strugglers Levante on loan last month and has already scored for the Valencia-based club.
Levante confirmed the arrival of Verdu, who has also played for Deportivo La Coruna, Espanyol and Real Betis in the Primera Division, in a statement published on their official website.
