Nigerian junior international forward Taiwo Awoniyi is set for a third loan spell away from parent club Liverpool.

The Reds have announced -- via their official Twitter handle -- the departure of the 19-year-old to Royal Excel Mouscron of Belgium on a season-long loan.

Awoniyi, who remains uncapped at international level, was part of the Golden Eaglets team that won the FIFA Under-17 World Cup in 2013, starring alongside Kelechi Iheanacho and Isaac Success.

He joined Liverpool in 2015 from Imperial Soccer Academy in his homeland, but was unable to secure a work permit and so loaned to FSV Frankfurt. He netted one goal in 13 league appearances at the German 2. Bundesliga side, but suffered relegation.

Last season he was sent on another loan, this time to Dutch Eredivisie club NEC Nijmegen. That also ended in relegation heartbreak, despite Awoniyi scoring two goals in the final three games of the season.

The 19-year-old will be hoping for third time lucky at Mouscron, where he will battle it out for a starting spot against Cameroonian Fabrice Olinga, DR Congo star Jonathan Bolingi and Belgian-Congolese forward Yannis Mbombo Lokwa.
