Atlanta United have signed Guinea international defender Florentin Pogba, the club announced on Tuesday.
Pogba, 28, is the older brother of Manchester United and France star Paul Pogba and joins the defending MLS champions as a Discovery Signing.
"We're pleased to officially welcome Florentin to our club," said Atlanta United technical director Carlos Bocanegra in a team statement. "He's a physical center-back who also has the ability to play with his feet.
"He also brings an immense amount of experience after representing his club and country in various international tournaments and we expect him to compete for playing time on our back line."
Pogba has spent the bulk of his career in France with Sedan and St Etienne.
He was most recently on the books of Turkish side Genclerbirligi S.K., but his contract was not renewed at the conclusion of the 2017-18 season. He was recently on trial with Spanish side Elche.
Pogba was a France youth international, but eventually pledged his international future to the country of his birth. He has since made 21 appearances for Guinea.
