LOS ANGELES -- Los Angeles Rams cornerbacks Marcus Peters and Aqib Talib both were sidelined because of injuries in Sunday's 35-23 victory over the Los Angeles Chargers, and their status going forward is uncertain.
Peters suffered a calf injury, a source told ESPN's Adam Schefter, in the second quarter and was sidelined for the remainder of the game. He walked out of the locker room after the game wearing a walking boot on his right foot.
Talib suffered an ankle injury in the second half. He left the locker room with the help of a crutch, wearing a boot on his left foot.
Outside linebacker Dominique Easley also suffered a knee injury in the second quarter. He later tried to return, but coach Sean McVay said he "did not feel great."
McVay said he was uncertain the extent of the injuries and whether the players would be available for a Thursday night game against the Minnesota Vikings (1-1-1).
"If those guys aren't ready to go those are some big voids that we've got to be ready to fill," McVay said.
The Rams (3-0) will go forward without returner JoJo Natson, who broke his hand Sunday. Natson was signed after a season-opening victory over the Oakland Raiders, when Pro Bowl returner Pharoh Cooper suffered an ankle injury and was placed on injured reserve. Backup returner Mike Thomas also suffered a groin injury in the opener and was later placed on injured reserve.
Peters and Talib were acquired in offseason trades with the Kansas City Chiefs and Denver Broncos, respectively.
This season, Peters has four tackles and a pass deflection. He returned an interception 50 yards for a touchdown in Week 1.
Talib has seven tackles and two pass deflections.
Easley moved to outside linebacker from the interior of the line during the preseason. He was sidelined in 2017 after suffering the third major knee injury of his career dating to college.
