          The early Week 6 NFL slate was highlighted by a showdown between the Chiefs and Texans and their elite young QBs. In the 4 p.m. ET block, the undefeated 49ers took down the defending NFC champion Rams.

          Injuries:

          Kendall Fuller, CB, Chiefs. The Chiefs' nickelback injured his thumb and was scheduled for X-rays, so his ability to be ready for the upcoming Thursday night game could be limited. The Chiefs are thin at cornerback as it is, and they'll choose between veteran Morris Claiborne or rookie Rashad Fenton to fill in against the Broncos if Fuller can't play. -- Adam Teicher

          Tytus Howard, OT, Texans. Howard was carted off the field early in the third quarter against the Chiefs, but head coach Bill O'Brien said from what he was told after the game, the injury looked worse than it was, and Howard could play again this season. Howard, who started the season at left guard, entered the week with the third-best pass block win rate among offensive tackles, according to ESPN metrics, powered by Next Gen Stats data. Howard was replaced by Roderick Johnson. -- Sarah Barshop

          Injuries:

          Nigel Bradham, LB, Eagles. Bradham exited Sunday's loss to the Vikings with an ankle injury and did not return. He is willing to play through almost anything, which makes the fact that he couldn't get back into the game more concerning. Fortunately for the Eagles, Kamu Grugier-Hill is getting healthier and can step into a bigger role if need be. -- Tim McManus

          Jason Peters, OT, Eagles. Peters left with a knee injury in the second quarter and did not return. He was replaced by rookie Andre Dillard, who was up and down in a tough spot on the road. The Eagles are high on Dillard, a first-round pick, and will need him to rise to the occasion if Peters can't go Sunday at Dallas. -- Tim McManus

          Saints 13, Jaguars 6

          Highlights:

          Hey, a touchdown! Teddy Bridgewater gets it to Jared Cook for the first TD of the game:

          Not many highlights for either team today, but Marshon Lattimore comes through with a pick:

          Injuries:

          Geoff Swaim, TE, Jaguars. Swaim left the game in the third quarter and was evaluated for a concussion after getting hit in the head by Saints linebacker Demario Davis. He has only 13 catches for 65 yards in his six games, but if he's unable to play against Cincinnati, the Jaguars could be in trouble. They're already down James O'Shaughnessy (torn ACL), and rookie third-round pick Josh Oliver has yet to play in a game because of a hamstring injury suffered in camp. Even if Oliver were to make his season debut next week, how much can he really contribute considering he didn't play a snap in the preseason? That leaves Seth DeValve (48 catches and 4 TDs in three seasons with Cleveland) and Ben Koyack (24 career catches) as the team's best options. -- Michael DiRocco

          Highlights:

          Chris Carson puts the Seahawks back ahead with a goal-line rushing score:

          Jaron Brown enjoyed his first trip to the end zone so much, he decided to haul in another TD pass:

          A great play, as Russell Wilson delivers a beautiful ball to Jaron Brown for the TD. And a superb celly, as the Seahawks' WRs do the "Bye Bye Bye" dance:

          Odell Beckham Jr. isn't having a standout season statistically, but he's one of the only people alive who can make ridiculous catches like this:

          Baker Mayfield sees a lot of open space, and runs it in for a touchdown:

          After a long return to open the game, Nick Chubb punctuates the Browns' opening drive with a TD rush:

          Injuries:

          Baker Mayfield, QB, Browns. Mayfield suffered a hip injury on a scramble during the second half Sunday, but didn't miss a snap. He briefly went to the locker room, which prompted backup Garrett Gilbert to begin warming up. But Mayfield returned to the sidelines before the Browns offense got the ball back. After the game, Mayfield called the hip "tender" and admitted it bothered him. The good news is that the Browns are hitting their bye, so he'll have some extra time to recover. -- Jake Trotter

          Will Dissly, TE, Seahawks. The Seahawks fear that Dissly has a torn Achilles tendon, a source tells ESPN's Jeremy Fowler. That would be a massive loss for their offense with Dissly having emerged as one of Russell Wilson's best receiving threats in addition to being a strong blocker. None of the other tight ends on their roster -- Luke Willson, Jacob Hollister and George Fant -- is as complete of a player as Dissly. Said Pete Carroll: "He's been an unbelievable Seahawk. Every play that he's been in for us, last year and this year, he was just top-flight and a first-class competitor in all ways, and it's just unfortunate that he's going to have to miss [some time] here if the tests come through like we think they will." -- Brady Henderson

          Pregame:

          In its two biggest decisions of the day at this point, Caesars Sportsbook needs the Jets and Browns. The Jets are 7-point home underdogs against the Dallas Cowboys. The Browns are Pick 'em against the visiting Seattle Seahawks.

          Injuries:

          Dre Kirkpatrick, CB, Bengals. Kirkpatrick was knocked out of Sunday's loss at Baltimore with a left knee injury that required him to be carted off the field. Bengals coach Zac Taylor said he didn't have any updates on Kirkpatrick's prognosis. As he left the locker room, Kirkpatrick was moving very slowly on crutches, and wore a brace to stabilize his left leg. Should Kirkpatrick miss a significant amount of time, B.W. Webb could be tapped as the starting cornerback. Darqueze Dennard could also be an option once he returns from the PUP list. -- Ben Baby

          Injuries:

          Joe Noteboom, OG, Rams. Noteboom suffered a right knee injury and was helped off the field in the first quarter. He was unable to put any pressure on his right leg before being taken into the locker room on a cart. Noteboom did not return, and coach Sean McVay provided no update on his injury after the game. Backup guard Jamil Demby replaced him and is likely to do so going forward if Noteboom is out for a prolonged period. -- Lindsey Thiry

          K'Waun Williams, CB, 49ers. The 49ers' nickel cornerback departed Sunday's game due to a hamstring injury. Coach Kyle Shanahan said he isn't sure the extent of Williams' injury (or others, such as the one to receiver Deebo Samuel), but Williams had to give way to D.J. Reed. Williams had a couple rough moments early in the season, but he has been quite good in his role recently and holds extra value when defensive coordinator Robert Saleh wants to dial up a blitz. The Niners have been unfazed by injuries so far this season, but they'd undoubtedly like to avoid losing anymore key players for long stretches. -- Nick Wagoner

          Highlights:

          Dak Prescott with a 4-yard TD scamper late in the fourth quarter:

          Highlights:

          The second half begins with another INT, this time by Titans safety Kevin Byard:

          It has been a defensive struggle in the first half of the game, including Chris Harris Jr. picking off Marcus Mariota to short-circuit a drive late in the second quarter:

          Injuries:

          Emmanuel Sanders, WR, Broncos. Sanders did not play in the second half due to a knee injury. Sanders played throughout the first half -- he was the target on an incomplete pass from Joe Flacco with 26 seconds left in the half -- but did not come out of the locker room after halftime. He had one reception in the game for no gain. Following the game, Broncos coach Vic Fangio said: "I don't know any details on it. All I was told is he hurt his knee ... that's all I've got.'' Sanders was limited with a knee injury in Wednesday's and Friday's practices but was a full participant in Thursday's workout. If he misses time, that will push Courtland Sutton to the front of the line in the Broncos' offense -- Flacco called Sutton a "No. 1 receiver'' after Sunday's win -- and DaeSean Hamilton will get more targets as well. Fred Brown, who was signed off the Broncos' practice squad recently, was the third wide receiver after Sanders left the game. -- Jeff Legwold

          Jayon Brown, ILB, Titans. Brown went down in the first quarter, walked off the field on his own after talking to the trainers and went straight to the blue tent for further review. His status was announced as questionable due to a groin injury, but he did not return. Veteran linebacker Wesley Woodyard took Brown's place, finishing with six tackles and a sack. -- Turron Davenport
