The Atlanta Falcons, sans Calvin Ridley and Cordarrelle Patterson, entered their contest against the New England Patriots already at an offensive disadvantage.
Bill Belichick's defense did not do them any favors.
The teams met on Thursday night for the second time since Super Bowl LI -- the game that forever lives in infamy as Atlanta's most heartbreaking loss. It was also the Patriots' first game back at Mercedes-Benz Stadium since their February 2017 championship victory.
New England won handedly, 25-0, in Atlanta's first shut out at home since 1988. Following their 43-3 loss to the Dallas Cowboys, the Falcons have now gone back-to-back games without a touchdown for the first time since Weeks 8 and 9 of the 1987 season.
But it wasn't just the box score that had players talking on Twitter.
The Falcons' final four offensive drives of the game ended in the same fashion, despite three different quarterbacks being under center.
After a promising conversion to Kyle Pitts on second-and-long, Matt Ryan was picked off on first down by Devin McCourty. The next offensive possession was Ryan's last of the game, and his evening ended with J.C. Jackson's interception.
Enter Josh Rosen.
Rosen's third snap of the game resulted in a 35-yard pick-six by Kyle Van Noy.
Next up was rookie Feleipe Franks, who had his first, and only, NFL pass intercepted by Adrian Phillips.
Former New Orleans Saint running back Reggie Bush was quite pleased with the Falcons' offensive troubles.
Atlanta QB's putting on a show #WhoDat⚜️

Six-time Pro Bowler and current Las Vegas Raider defensive lineman Gerald McCoy was one of the many who rushed to Twitter with a valid assumption:
Every QB on the roster? Sheesh!! That has to be a first.

Although the Falcons are not the only team who have faced this unfortunate fate, they are the first team since the 2009 Houston Texans to have three players throw an interception in the same game (Matt Schaub, Rex Grossman, Chris Brown).
What lol all 3 QB's throw a pick😂😂😂 lol wtf

That's gotta be a record. 3 QBs and all 3 throw a pick.

The last team to have three quarterbacks throw an interception in a single game was the 2000 Los Angeles Chargers (Ryan Leaf, Jim Harbaugh, Moses Moreno).
Atlanta's less-than-stellar finish to the game was the talk of the night for players across the league.
Another one for Mr Int 🤣🤣
