SANTA CLARA, Calif. -- Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster aggravated a hamstring injury in the first quarter of Sunday's 28-18 win over the San Francisco 49ers and did not return.
The Chiefs initially said Smith-Schuster was questionable to return but in the third quarter announced he was done for the day.
Smith-Schuster injured the hamstring in practice on Thursday and left that day's workout before it was finished. But he returned the following day and Andy Reid said he would play against the 49ers.
Smith-Schuster in the Chiefs' previous game had more than 100 receiving yards for the first time in two years. He had seven catches for 130 yards in a win over the New Orleans Saints.
