The WWE Hall of Fame Class of 2018 grew on Monday with the addition of one of the most decorated tag teams in the history of the wrestling business, The Dudley Boyz.
As first reported by CBS Sports, Bubba Ray and D-Von Dudley will join Goldberg on April 6 at New Orleans' Smoothie King Center as they, and several other yet-to-be-announced inductees, are enshrined in the WWE Hall of Fame.
The Dudley Boyz's nine tag team championship reigns, which came during their first run with the company from 1999 to 2005, are the most in WWE history -- but that's only part of their success. They first became a team in 1996 in ECW, in which they were eight-time ECW tag team champions. All told, the Dudleyz have more than 20 major tag team title runs to their names, including multiple reigns in Japan as IWGP tag team champions.
In addition to all of the championships, their roles in a series of tables, ladders and chairs matches with the Hardy Boyz and Edge & Christian pushed the limits of what could be done inside of a WWE ring and stand to this day as some of the most iconic matches in the company's history.
They returned for a second run with the company in January 2015 and spent 18 months competing against a modern generation of tag teams. On Jan. 22, at the 25th anniversary edition of Monday Night Raw, they returned and put Heath Slater through a table.
