Logan Paul to face Roman Reigns at Crown Jewel for the WWE undisputed universal championship

LAS VEGAS -- Logan Paul, in just his second singles match in WWE, will challenge the face of wrestling, Roman Reigns, for the WWE undisputed universal championship on Nov. 5 in Riydah, Saudi Arabia at Crown Jewel, it was revealed Saturday at a news conference at a news conference at Resorts World.

Paul, 27, is a social media star who met Floyd Mayweather in a boxing exhibition last June.

He made his WWE debut at WrestleMania in April, a tag team victory alongside The Miz against The Mysterios. Paul then made his singles debut in August with a SummerSlam victory over The Miz and impressed with his ability to perform a variety of moves.

"I can tell you this, everything he's done in the short period he's been with us, he's earned my respect, and I don't give that easily," said WWE Hall of Famer Paul "Triple H" Levesque, the organization's Chief Content Officer in charge of all creative. " ... He's only had a few matches but he's blown me away."

Now, Paul will find himself on a far bigger stage, tasked with being able to hang with the biggest star in WWE.

Reigns has held the universal championship for more than two years after he defeated Brock Lesnar in a Last Man Standing match at SummerSlam.

"This man has over 30 million followers and what he's doing now is bringing them to your 'Tribal Chief,'" said Reigns. " ... You can be third match on any card ... but the fact that you want to step up to the main event. ... in Saudi Arabia, I'm going to show you what God Mode really looks like."

The storyline between Reigns and Paul started this week, when the champion was the guest on Paul's popular podcast, Impaulsive. Paul called out Reigns on Friday on SmackDown, and invited him to Las Vegas for the news conference ahead of the undisputed super middleweight championship boxing match between Canelo Alvarez and Gennadiy Golovkin.
