British heavyweight Dillian Whyte is confident of making opponent Lucas Browne suffer when the pair meet in London on March 24.

Brixton's Whyte (22-1, 16 KOs) will face former WBA world heavyweight titlist Browne (25-0, 22 KOs) at The O2 and with the insults already flying, an entertaining build-up is in prospect.

Whyte told ESPN: "He called me an 'orangutan' on Twitter and he's going to pay for that. I'm not going to play the 'racist' card but if you want to behave in such a manner then I'll treat you accordingly. Be a scumbag and I'll treat you like a scumbag.

"Browne is a bully. I've been putting an end to bullies my whole life. You can tell from the way he walks and talks that he's a bully and he's going to pay.

"I expect him to try and be a bully. Bullies only know one way but sometimes they come up against people who refuse to be bullied. Browne must sleep. It'll be like he's taken too much Night Nurse.

"It means a lot to be given a chance to shine alone. I'm not the bad guy in this one. I've been patient and consistent. Now the chance is here, it could end up becoming an official final eliminator for a shot at WBC world champion Deontay Wilder."

Should Whyte overcome Australia's Browne, even bigger fights beckon. In addition to the possibility of a shot at Wilder or a rematch with WBA Super and IBF champion Anthony Joshua, 'The Body Snatcher' is open to the possibility of facing the returning Tyson Fury.

Whyte added: "Tyson Fury and Hughie Fury are two of the best heavyweights in the country so of course they're fights that interest me. I'm ready to fight anyone and love giving the fans fights they're going to talk about.

"If the fights are financially good to me and they can help with my rankings, the Furys can have it."
