Jake Paul returns to the ring to face former UFC welterweight champion Tyron Woodley in a rematch of their August bout on Saturday on Showtime PPV beginning at 9 p.m. ET. The fight is scheduled for eight rounds at cruiserweight and will take place at Amalie Arena in Tampa, Florida -- home of the Tampa Bay Lighting.
Paul (4-0, 3 KOs), 24, of Cleveland, defeated Woodley (0-1) by split decision back in August. Paul was scheduled to face Tyson Fury's half-brother, Tommy Fury, but Tommy was forced to step down due to injury and was replaced by Woodley.
Paul made his boxing professional debut in January 2020 with a first-round TKO victory over fellow YouTuber Ali Eson Gib. His second fight was a second-round one-punch KO of former NBA star Nate Robinson. He then defeated former Bellator and One Championship champion Ben Askren with a first-round TKO in April before taking on Woodley.
Woodley won the UFC welterweight title with a first-round TKO of Robbie Lawler at UFC 201 in 2016. He defended the belt four times until losing a unanimous decision to Kamaru Usman at UFC 235 in 2019. He has since parted ways with the UFC.
