The rankings below are for fantasy baseball leagues that use a head-to-head points format. Position eligibility for 2016 is determined based upon a minimum of 20 games or the position the player appeared at most in 2015.
PPG is the average number of points each player is expected to earn per game, based upon the ESPN projections for the 2016 season and ESPN standard scoring in points leagues. While this is one factor in determining the overall points ranks, it is not the only factor. Other factors taken into consideration include a player's underlying skill set and expected health, his relative ranking compared to others who play at the same position, and a consideration of the scarcity or abundance of certain stats as generated by the league-wide player pool.
