Anneli Maley's clutch fourth quarter has helped Perth Lynx end the Melbourne Boomers' unbeaten start to the WNBL season.
Maley (17 points, 17 rebounds) hit two crucial triples and grabbed regular boards in a rousing performance by the Opals' Paris Olympics hopeful.
Those plays helped blow out what was a one-possession game to begin the final quarter, with the Lynx running away to win 80-63.
The road win improved the Lynx to 3-3 and snapped a two-game losing streak while the Boomers' five-game winning run to begin the season is over.
Jordin Canada (21 points, five rebounds, five assists) did the heavy lifting for the hosts while fellow import and MVP candidate Aari McDonald (21 points, five rebounds, nine assists) was prolific for the Lynx.
Emily Potter had 16 points and eight rebounds while Miela Goodchild added 15 points in the statement win.
Meanwhile, two close round-five losses have hurt Adelaide, particularly Saturday's 70-65 overtime loss at home to Bendigo Spirit.
The hosts came from 12 points down after three quarters to force the extra period, with Isabel Borlase (17 points, six rebounds, five assists) missing a last-second match-winner after she had earlier made a tough bucket to put her side up by one.
Mehryn Kraker and Alex Wilson each scored 16 points for the Spirit while Alicia Froling had nine points and 10 rebounds and Kelsey Griffin paired eight points with 11 rebounds.
That defeat followed a 67-61 loss to Townsville Fire on Wednesday.
Zitina Aokuso starred with 23 points and seven boards for the Fire while Borlase scored 18 points and Brianna Turner had 17 rebounds for the Lightning.
The Lightning are now 2-5 ahead of a Wednesday date with the Sydney Flames (2-3), who didn't play in round five.
In the other round-five game the Southside Flyers moved to 4-2 with a an 81-64 defeat of winless UC Capitals.
Mercedes Russell was the stand-out with 21 points, 11 rebounds and four assists.
