          NFL Week 10 in review: Highlights, injuries, analysis

          Week 10 of the 2019 NFL season featured a number of great matchups, including an epic clash between the Panthers and Packers that came down to the final play, and another remarkable outing by Lamar Jackson.

          Titans 35, Chiefs 32

          Highlights:

          The Chiefs get within field goal range to tie things up at the buzzer, but it's blocked!

          Ryan Tannehill caps off a drive with a 28-yard TD to Adam Humphries, and the Titans are back ahead:

          Derrick Henry is having himself a day: This rush into the end zone gives him 172 yards and two scores:

          Not only does Patrick Mahomes throw this pass right on the money with both feet off of the ground, but Mecole Hardman appears to have an extra gear faster than everyone else's on the field:

          Not only is Derrick Henry immense, but he's also crazy-fast. He gets loose for a 68-yard TD here, and the Titans are back on top:

          Patrick Mahomes floats it up, and Tyreek Hill goes and gets it:

          After the Chiefs' Damien Williams is stripped, Titans LB Rashaan Evans scoops it up and races 53 yards to put Tennessee ahead:

          A 9-yard strike to Anthony Firkser puts the Titans on the board:

          Ryan Tannehill launches a bomb, and Kalif Raymond comes up with the great catch (he'd be ruled down by contact after review):

          After a Patrick Mahomes interception was overturned earlier in the drive, the Chiefs capitalize on the drive with a Travis Kelce TD:

          Sportsbooks around the nation were on the hunt Sunday morning, searching for anyone willing to bet on the Titans. The Titans are consensus 6.5-point underdogs to the Chiefs and returning QB Patrick Mahomes. At Caesars Sportsbook in Nevada, 97.1% of the money wagered on the game was on Kansas City. At FanDuel's sportsbook, which operates on the East Coast and Indiana, 95% of the money was on the Chiefs.

          And the onslaught continues. Lamar Jackson fires deep for Marquise Brown, and it's yet another score:

          Things haven't gone great thus far for Cincy, but Ryan Finley can celebrate here, as he throws his first career NFL touchdown. Tyler Eifert is able to tap both feet in the end zone:

          Bengals rookie QB Ryan Finley was starting to get his bearings for a bit, and then ... it's Marcus Peters running very fast in the opposite direction. An 89-yard pick-six for the former Ram:

          Lamar Jackson connects with Mark Andrews for their second touchdown of the game:

          You don't see this often: Three Heisman Trophy winners in the same backfield (Lamar Jackson, Mark Ingram II and Robert Griffin III). The option pitch goes to RG III:

          Mark Ingram II takes the ball right up the gut to put the Ravens up by two scores:

          Lamar Jackson gets it to Mark Andrews, who powers his way in to the give the Ravens an early lead:

          The Ravens start the game off explosively, with Lamar Jackson launching it deep for Marquise Brown:

          Injuries:

          Drew Sample, TE, Bengals. The Bengals' second-round pick in the 2019 draft was on the field early in the 49-13 loss to the Ravens. However, he was knocked out of the game in the second half with a left ankle injury. Sample wore a protective boot and crutches as he exited the locker room. The Bengals have other options at tight end, including Tyler Eifert. However, any absence will limit the rookie's development during Cincinnati's rebuilding process. -- Ben Baby

          Michael Pierce, DT, Ravens. Pierce injured his ankle on the Ravens' first defensive play and didn't finish the game. X-rays were negative, which is an encouraging sign. "We'll just have to see how it responds tomorrow," coach John Harbaugh said. Pierce is one of the top run-stopping defensive ends in the NFL. Rookie Daylon Mack would likely become active if Pierce has to miss any time. -- Jamison Hensley

          Falcons 26, Saints 9

          Falcons inactives: CB Desmond Trufant, S Jamal Carter, DL John Cominsky, OL Matt Gono, WR Brandon Powell, OL Wes Schweitzer, DL Deadrin Senat

          Saints inactives: TE Dan Arnold, WR Austin Carr, C Nick Easton, DE Carl Granderson, OT Ethan Greenidge, DB Saquan Hampton, DB Patrick Robinson

          Highlights:

          Are the Falcons gonna win this one? Matt Ryan finds Brian Hill out wide, and the RB gets just in:

          Matt Ryan is back in action, and he puts the Falcons up in the second quarter with a TD strike to Austin Hooper:

          Michael Thomas submits his latest entry in the Catch of the Year contest:

          Injuries:

          Marshon Lattimore, CB, Saints. Lattimore left in the second quarter Sunday with a thigh injury and never returned. He did try for a few minutes to get back into the game by jogging on the sideline and riding the stationary bike, which might be a good sign that it's not serious. The Saints can't afford to lose him for long, since he has been locking down No. 1 WRs this year and they have the Buccaneers' duo of Mike Evans and Chris Godwin up next. -- Mike Triplett

          Andrus Peat, OG, Saints. Peat left the game early with an unspecified hand injury and did not return after being listed as questionable to come back in the game. The Saints have some backup options with decent experience in Will Clapp and Nick Easton if Peat misses any time. But Clapp appeared to have some struggles in the second half on Sunday. -- Mike Triplett

          Devonta Freeman, RB, Falcons. Freeman was knocked out of Sunday's game against the Saints with an ankle injury but didn't appear to have a walking boot on after the game. Coach Dan Quinn didn't give an immediate update on Freeman's status. If Freeman is sidelined for any amount of time, then Brian Hill would get more touches at running back coming off a 21-touch effort against the Saints that included a 10-yard touchdown reception. Return specialist Kenjon Barner and rookie Qadree Ollison are the other running backs currently on the active roster. -- Vaughn McClure

          Austin Hooper, TE, Falcons. There is concern about Hooper's knee, as he went into the tent during the game. It could be MCL-related, but only more testing will determine the exact issue. Hooper would be hard to replace, with Luke Stocker and Jaeden Graham the other tight ends on the roster, and Stocker is more of a blocker than a pass-catcher. -- Vaughn McClure

          Pregame:

          Bears 20, Lions 13

          Lions inactives: QB Matthew Stafford, S Tracy Walker, LB/S Miles Killebrew, DL Da'Shawn Hand, DL Romeo Okwara, CB Mike Jackson, OL Beau Benzschawel

          Bears inactives: DB Duke Shelley, OL Alex Bars, LB Isaiah Irving, DL Abdullah Anderson, LB Josh Woods, TE Adam Shaheen, WR Riley Ridley

          Highlights:

          Jeff Driskel gets chased out of the pocket and unleashes a bomb to Kenny Golladay to pull the Lions within one score:

          We're not sure where this version of Mitchell Trubisky has been all season, but here's TD pass No. 3:

          Not sure what happened in the locker room at halftime, but the Bears' offense looked downright effective in its first drive of the third quarter, capped by a swing pass TD for Tarik Cohen:

          It's a touchdown! Mitchell Trubisky with excellent touch on this pass to Ben Braunecker:

          Not much going on early in this game, but Lions linebacker Devon Kennard has picked up sack No. 4 on the season:

          Injuries:

          Danny Trevathan, ILB, Bears. Trevathan suffered a gruesome left elbow injury and exited Soldier Field with his left arm in a sling. Bears coach Matt Nagy said the team won't know the full extent of the damage for a couple days, but Trevathan is scheduled to undergo an MRI on Monday. Trevathan was replaced by veteran linebacker Nick Kwiatkoski, who had nine tackles, one sack and an interception in Chicago's win over Detroit. -- Jeff Dickerson

          Ty Johnson, RB, Lions. Johnson suffered a concussion in the first half Sunday. It's unclear how long he'll be out, but the Lions are thin at running back without him. J.D. McKissic and Paul Perkins could handle duties in the short term if Johnson can't return next week, but the Lions would likely have to make a free-agency move to fill out the running back corps. -- Michael Rothstein

          Rick Wagner, OT, Lions. The Lions' starting right tackle suffered a concussion in the second quarter, and while he was spotted walking out of the locker room Sunday -- a good sign, considering he was carted back to the locker room -- it's unclear when he'll be back. Tyrell Crosby would take his place at right tackle, but the Lions might need to find a third tackle if Wagner is going to miss time. -- Michael Rothstein

          Pregame:

          Here's what to know about Jeff Driskel, Detroit's starting QB today. He was a 6th round pick of San Francisco in 2016. Played college football at Florida and Louisiana Tech. Made his only regular season appearances last year for Cincinnati, when he went 1-4 as a starter. His only win as a starter came last year against Oakland. In his career, he's thrown for more than 200 yards just once -- 236 against Denver on Dec. 2 last year. He was sacked 16 times in 6 games last year.

          Golden Tate enjoyed his first touchdown so much, he decided to get in the end zone again:

          Not sure what happened to the Jets on defense here, but Golden Tate takes a screen pass 61 yards for a TD:

          Jamal Adams snatches the ball away from Daniel Jones and runs it in for six:

          Daniel Jones sees Darius Slayton get open after the defender stumbles, and Slayton races all the way in to tie the game:

          The Giants strike back! Daniel Jones threads the needle to Darius Slayton to trim the lead:

          Injuries:

          Left tackle Nate Solder ruled out with a concussion. That leaves the Giants without their two starting tackles. Mike Remmers (back) is inactive. Now in: Eric Smith at LT and Nick Gates at RT. Neither has started an NFL game.

          Injuries:

          Patrick Peterson, CB, Cardinals. Peterson went down twice Sunday, finally leaving the game with a calf injury. Coach Kliff Kingsbury did not have an update after the game, but Peterson's body language showed a player who wasn't just in pain but was trying to cope with a potentially serious injury. -- Josh Weinfuss

          M.J. Stewart, CB, Buccaneers. Stewart suffered a right knee injury and was wearing a bulky brace in the locker room after the game. He's set to undergo an MRI Monday. The Bucs also have Sean Murphy-Bunting, who can play nickel, but they might be more inclined to keep him on the outside. They also have Ryan Smith, who's currently learning the position, but he saw action in only two defensive plays Sunday, surrendering a 69-yard touchdown to Christian Kirk in the third quarter. -- Jenna Laine

          Dolphins 16, Colts 12

          Dolphins inactives: DB Xavier Crawford, WR Gary Jennings, FS Reshad Jones, DE Avery Moss, OT Isaiah Prince, OT Keaton Sutherland, DB Ken Webster

          Injuries:

          Dennis Daley, OT, Panthers. The rookie left in the second half with a leg injury, and didn't return. Coach Ron Rivera said he would know more about the injury tomorrow. Regardless, Daley was playing well. When he left, the Panthers had to shift right tackle Taylor Moton to the left side and put Daryl Williams on the right. That combination seemed to work. But the kicker in this is that rookie Greg Little possibly could return from a concussion this week. He was the starter at LT before the injury. -- David Newton

          Highlights:

          Safety! Aaron Donald and Clay Matthews Jr. bury Mason Rudolph in the Steelers' end zone:

          Minkah Fitzpatrick snags the bouncing fumble and races all the way back for a score:

          James Washington elevates to make the catch, and somehow makes this catch inbounds in the end zone:

          On the second play from scrimmage, the snap gets past Mason Rudolph. Dante Fowler Jr. scoops it up on the fly and barrels into the end zone to give the Rams an early edge:

          Injuries:

          Ryan Switzer, WR, Steelers. Switzer left the game early with a back injury, and on a short week with Thursday night's game against Cleveland looming, it's bad news. He's been banged up recently, including a rib injury from the last game that kept him out of practice early in the week. If Switzer is limited or can't go, he'll be replaced by Dionate Johnson at punt returner, though Johnson's ball security issues are a concern. -- Brooke Pryor

          Brian Allen, C, Rams. Allen was carted from the sideline into the locker room with a knee injury in the first quarter, and did not return. In his absence, guard Austin Blythe took over at center, and Austin Corbett was inserted at left guard. It has yet to be determined how long Allen could be sidelined. Right tackle Rob Havenstein also suffered a knee injury that he attempted to play through, however he was sidelined late in the fourth quarter. -- Lindsey Thiry
