          The NFL offseason is in full swing, and 2020 NFL free agency is off and running. Teams are negotiating with free agents, and they're already striking deals to re-sign players -- and make trades -- while rumors are flowing on all the latest news across the league.

          Source: Redskins get former Eagles CB Ronald Darby

          The Washington Redskins, who unloaded their top two corners from last season, turned to a division rival to help fill a void, signing veteran Ronald Darby, a source told ESPN's Jeremy Fowler. Darby signed a one-year deal worth $4 million.

          Lions agree to deal with former Packers WR Geronimo Allison

          The Detroit Lions have agreed to a contract with wide receiver Geronimo Allison, the team announced Sunday. Allison has agreed to a one-year contract for the veteran's minimum of $910,000, a source confirmed to ESPN. NFL Network first reported the terms of the deal, adding that Allison will get a $137,500 signing bonus.

          Ex-Broncos DE Derek Wolfe, Ravens agree to 1-year deal, source says

          Former Denver Broncos defensive end Derek Wolfe has reached agreement on a one-year deal worth up to $6 million with the Baltimore Ravens, a source told ESPN's Adam Schefter. The addition of Wolfe comes one day after the Ravens were unable to finalize a deal with Michael Brockers.

          Chiefs re-signing WR DeMarcus Robinson for one year, source says

          The Kansas City Chiefs are re-signing wide receiver DeMarcus Robinson to a one-year contract, a source confirmed to ESPN. Robinson's production increased each season after cracking the Chiefs' receiving rotation, going from 21 catches and 212 yards in 2017 to 32 and 449 in 2019.

          After checking what the market had to offer, defensive end Shelby Harris has agreed to terms on a one-year deal with the Denver Broncos. The deal is for a guaranteed $2.5 million with the potential for $725,000 of additional incentives, a source confirmed to ESPN. As the 2019 season drew to a close, Harris said he had hoped to find a multiyear deal in free agency, but that didn't materialize.

          Source: Cowboys reach deals with Greg Zuerlein, Dontari Poe

          Veteran kicker Greg Zuerlein, who had nine missed field goals in 2019 for the Los Angeles Rams, agreed to a three-year, $7.5 million deal with the Dallas Cowboys, with $2.25 million guaranteed, sources confirmed to ESPN's Todd Archer on Friday. The Cowboys already re-signed Kai Forbath to a one-year deal this offseason. Also Friday, the Cowboys and defensive tackle Dontari Poe agreed to a two-year deal worth up to $10.5 million, according to a source.

          Linebacker Reggie Ragland has agreed to terms with the Detroit Lions, a source told ESPN's Jeremy Fowler. Ragland, who turns 27 in September, became a part-time player after the Kansas City Chiefs switched to a 4-3 base defense last season.

          DE Michael Brockers rejoins Rams after deal with Ravens falls through

          Michael Brockers' deal with the Baltimore Ravens fell through over an issue with his ankle, and on Friday, the free-agent defensive lineman rejoined the Los Angeles Rams with a similar deal. Brockers, 29, reached agreement on a three-year, $30 million deal with Baltimore on March 16, the first day of the NFL's negotiating period. But an independent doctor expressed concern about his left ankle, which he injured in the 2019 season finale.

          Darqueze Dennard again a free agent after impasse with Jags

          Cornerback Darqueze Dennard remains a free agent after he and the Jacksonville Jaguars reached an impasse on the details of a contract. A league source told ESPN's Adam Schefter on March 17 that Dennard and the team agreed on a three-year, $13.5 million deal that included $6 million guaranteed. Dennard was expected to compete for a starting spot at outside corner despite playing mainly in the slot with the Cincinnati Bengals.

          Bills sign OL Daryl Williams to 1-year deal

          The Buffalo Bills have signed offensive lineman Daryl Williams to a one-year deal, the team announced Thursday. Williams, who will turn 28 in August, is a depth addition at both guard and tackle for the Bills. He played in all 16 games for the Carolina Panthers last season, starting 12, after missing all but one game in 2018 because of a knee injury suffered in the opening game.

          Cardinals bringing back OT Marcus Gilbert after season lost to torn ACL

          Free-agent offensive tackle Marcus Gilbert is re-signing with the Arizona Cardinals on a one-year contract. According to his agent, Drew Rosenhaus, the deal is worth up to $3.75 million.‬

          Gilbert suffered a torn ACL just before Week 1 and missed the 2019 season after he was traded from the Pittsburgh Steelers to the Cardinals last March.

          Colts land Pro Bowl CB Xavier Rhodes

          Former Minnesota Vikings All-Pro cornerback Xavier Rhodes is signing a one-year deal with the Indianapolis Colts, according to reporting by ESPN's Adam Schefter. Rhodes will be a free agent again after 2020 season.

          Source: Browns OT Chris Hubbard agrees to take pay cut

          Cleveland Browns right tackle Chris Hubbard has agreed to rework his contract and take a substantial pay cut after the team signed free agent Jack Conklin, a source told ESPN's Field Yates. Hubbard, who lost his starting job when Cleveland signed Conklin to a three-year, $42 million deal last week, will make a base salary of $2.5 million this season.

          Source: Bears reach 1-year deal with OL Germain Ifedi

          The Chicago Bears agreed to a one-year contract with offensive lineman Germain Ifedi, a source confirmed to ESPN. Ifedi primarily played tackle for the Seattle Seahawks, but he has started 14 career games at right guard.

          Where will Redskins Pro Bowl OT Trent Williams be traded?

          A day after the agent for Washington Redskins left tackle Trent Williams demanded once again the seven-time Pro Bowler be traded or released, it's clear there is a market for his services.

          The Redskins have discussed trade compensation for Williams with multiple teams. The Redskins, who have yet to be tempted, continue to ask for second-round value for Williams, though there is flexibility to achieve a deal. Here are four teams that have emerged as front-runners, along with some wild cards.

          Colts have their QB in Philip Rivers, but they still need wide receivers

          The Colts have their quarterback: Philip Rivers. They have their offensive line, with a reputation as one of the league's best.

          The same can't be said about the depth at skill positions that would help Rivers perform at his best. The Colts have T.Y. Hilton, Parris Campbell, Zach Pascal and ... not much else at wide receiver behind those three on the roster. Technically, they have 10 wideouts on the roster. Five have never caught a pass in the NFL. Campbell and Daurice Fountain had season-ending injuries last season. So there's definitely reason for concern.

          Steelers sign DT Cavon Walker, OT Jarron Jones, S Tyree Kinnel

          The Steelers signed a trio of XFL products on Wednesday, supplementing their free-agency signings with two members of the New York Guardians -- including the league's sack leader -- and one alum of the D.C. Defenders. The Steelers agreed to contracts with DT Cavon Walker, OT Jarron Jones and S Tyree Kinnel. The positions filled are ones of need for the Steelers, who lost depth at all three spots during free agency with the departures of DT Javon Hargrave, OL Ramon Foster, OL B.J. Finney and S Sean Davis. The Steelers have been open to signing players from alternative football leagues in the past, signing safety Kameron Kelly from the Alliance of American Football prior to last season.

          Redskins, WR Cody Latimer reach agreement on deal

          The Washington Redskins have agreed to terms on a deal with wide receiver Cody Latimer, a source confirmed to ESPN's John Keim. Latimer had 24 receptions, 300 receiving yards and two touchdowns in 15 games (10 starts) for the New York Giants last season. Before 2019, Latimer had started only five games since being a second-round draft pick by the Denver Broncos in 2014.

          The Baltimore Ravens haven't officially finalized a three-year, $30 million deal with defensive lineman Michael Brockers because of an issue with his ankle, a source confirmed to ESPN. Baltimore is still hoping to sign Brockers, but doing so could involve reworking the deal, a source added.

          Source: Cowboys, Dak Prescott resume contract talks

          The Dallas Cowboys have resumed contract negotiations with Dak Prescott for the first time since using the exclusive franchise tag on him earlier this month, a source told ESPN's Ed Werder. Prescott is the first quarterback in Cowboys history to have the franchise tag applied to him. A team source said the NFL currently shows a $26,824,000 charge to the Cowboys' salary cap for Prescott even though he has not signed the franchise tender.

          Source: Jets, LB Patrick Onwuasor agree to 1-year deal

          Adding to an already deep position, the New York Jets agreed to terms with former Baltimore Ravens linebacker Patrick Onwuasor on a one-year contract, a source confirmed. Onwuasor was the biggest disappointment on last year's defense for the Ravens. He flopped in trying to replace Pro Bowl middle linebacker C.J. Mosley and fell behind Josh Bynes and L.J. Fort on the depth chart at inside linebacker.

          Sources: Ex-Saint S Vonn Bell to sign with Bengals

          Former New Orleans Saints safety Vonn Bell is expected to sign with the Cincinnati Bengals, sources told ESPN. Bell, who turned 25 in December, has shown steady improvement since being drafted in the second round out of Ohio State in 2016.

          Sources: DT Ndamukong Suh expected to return to Buccaneers

          Defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh is expected to return to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on a one-year, $8 million deal, sources told ESPN's Adam Schefter. Suh, who signed a one-year deal with the Buccaneers last offseason, may not have put much of a dent in the stat sheet -- finishing with 41 combined tackles (22 solo), 2.5 sacks and 4 passes defensed -- but his impact was certainly felt.

          Nickell Robey-Coleman, Eagles reach 1-year deal

          Cornerback Nickell Robey-Coleman has agreed to a one-year deal with the Philadelphia Eagles, he told ESPN's Josina Anderson on Wednesday. Robey-Coleman became a free agent when the Los Angeles Rams declined the 2020 option on his contract. He was set to enter the final season of a three-year, $15.7 million deal. The Rams create $5 million in salary-cap space with the move.

          Cowboys adding Blake Bell for tight end depth

          The Dallas Cowboys continue to fill in the holes on their roster, agreeing to a one-year deal with tight end Blake Bell, a source told ESPN. The Cowboys lost Jason Witten to the Las Vegas Raiders at the start of free agency after signing Blake Jarwin to a four-year deal worth up to $24 million and needed a blocking tight end. Bell, at 6-foot-6, 252 pounds, fits that mold after starting a career-high seven games last season with the Kansas City Chiefs.

          Vikings reach 1-year deal with wide receiver Tajae Sharpe

          Free-agent wide receiver Tajae Sharpe has agreed to a one-year deal with the Minnesota Vikings, a source confirmed to ESPN on Wednesday.

          Seahawks making effort to boost pass rush, with or without Jadeveon Clowney

          The Seattle Seahawks want to re-sign Jadeveon Clowney. But Clowney wants more money than they've offered and hasn't budged even though it appears no other team has been willing to meet his price.

          That's the CliffsNotes version of a bizarre situation that has left one of the NFL's top edge players unsigned more than a week into free agency. And it has left the Seahawks in a waiting game with by far the most impactful player along a defensive line that otherwise struggled to put pressure on opposing quarterbacks in 2019.

          Next on Titans' to-do list: upgrading at pass-rusher, cornerback

          The Tennessee Titans made some moves to maintain continuity on offense by re-signing quarterback Ryan Tannehill and placing the franchise tag on running back Derrick Henry. But their roster still has needs to be filled, especially on defense.

          Raiders' Marcus Mariota says he's Derek Carr's backup

          While Marcus Mariota has been a starting quarterback for most of his five-year NFL career, and he is getting $17.6 million for two years with $7.5 million guaranteed this year, he said he has no confusion over his place in the pecking order with the Las Vegas Raiders.

          He is coming in as Derek Carr's backup, Mariota said, with the hope to improve not only the Raiders' quarterback room but to better his own play.

          "First and foremost, this is Derek's team, and I understand that," Mariota, a Honolulu native, told Hawaii-based KHON-TV on Tuesday in his first public comments since agreeing to terms with the Raiders on March 16.

          "I understand that going in. ... My priority going into free agency was to be a part of a team that I felt could bring out the best in me. Whatever happens, whatever comes of that, I'm ready for. But I do know, to play starting quarterback in the NFL, to be at that spot, is not an easy job to do. And I think when it comes down to it, a strong, stable, supportive quarterback room makes that job a whole lot easier, and that's what we have to do. And I'm going to do my best to support Derek in every possible way that I can; and along with that, I'm just going to try to become the best player that I can be and see where that takes me."

          Chiefs re-signing DT Mike Pennell, FB Anthony Sherman

          The Kansas City Chiefs are reportedly bringing back two members of their Super Bowl-winning team.

          Defensive tackle Mike Pennel is returning to Kansas City on a one-year deal, NFL Network reported Tuesday. Yahoo Sports reported that the Chiefs also are bringing back fullback Anthony Sherman on a one-year deal.

          Source: Jaguars sign veteran Tyler Eifert to bolster thin TE corps

          The Jacksonville Jaguars are now trying former Cincinnati Bengals first-round draft pick Tyler Eifert in their latest effort to fix their tight end woes. The team agreed to terms with Eifert on a two-year deal Tuesday night, a source told ESPN's Dan Graziano. The move makes the oft-injured player the top option for second-year quarterback Gardner Minshew II. It also reunites Eifert with current Jags offensive coordinator Jay Gruden, his former OC with the Bengals.

          Jets add WR Breshad Perriman on one-year deal

          After losing wide receiver Robby Anderson to the Carolina Panthers, the New York Jets reacted quickly, agreeing to a one-year contract with Breshad Perriman, agent Drew Rosenhaus said. Perriman will sign a one-year contract that could be worth up to $8 million and includes $6 million in guarantees, Rosenhaus told ESPN's Adam Schefter.

          Green Bay to sign WR Devin Funchess

          Free-agent receiver Devin Funchess agreed to a deal with the Green Bay Packers, sources confirmed to ESPN. Funchess' first season with the Indianapolis Colts lasted less than a full game, as he suffered a clavicle injury in the Week 1 matchup with the Los Angeles Chargers.

          Panthers add WR Robby Anderson

          One of the top wide receivers on the free-agent market this offseason has made his decision: According to reporting from ESPN's Adam Schefter, Robby Anderson is signing a two-year, $20 million deal with the Carolina Panthers. The move comes the day the club formally cut ties with quarterback Cam Newton.

          RB Peyton Barber signing two-year deal with Skins, agent says

          Free-agent running back Peyton Barber is signing a two-year deal worth $3 million with the Washington Redskins, Barber's agent told ESPN's Josina Anderson. The deal includes $600,000 in guaranteed money.

          The Carolina Panthers are expected to release quarterback Cam Newton on Tuesday, sources told ESPN's Adam Schefter. Newton's exit from the team after nine seasons wasn't unexpected. Carolina agreed to a three-year, $63 million deal with free-agent quarterback Teddy Bridgewater earlier this week, a source told ESPN's Adam Schefter.

          Saints rework deal with CB Janoris Jenkins, save $6-7M in cap space

          The New Orleans Saints worked out a new contract agreement with cornerback Janoris Jenkins that will save the team in the range of $6-7 million in salary-cap space and keep the ninth-year veteran in New Orleans for a second season, according to reporting from ESPN's Field Yates. Jenkins, 31, was scheduled to earn $11.25 million in the final year of his contract after the Saints claimed him off waivers from the New York Giants in December.

          OT Trent Williams' agent says it's time for Redskins to trade or release his client

          Trent Williams' agent told ESPN in a statement Tuesday that the star offensive lineman's relationship with the Washington Redskins has "reached a point where it's in the best interest that the Redskins trade or release him." Agent Vincent Taylor said the Redskins have been "unable (or unwilling) to negotiate a trade of Williams," and he accused the team of showing "no interest in negotiating in good faith" with potential trade partners.

          Chiefs to sign third-rated XFL quarterback Jordan Ta'amu

          Always searching for developmental quarterbacks, the Kansas City Chiefs found one by agreeing to contract terms with XFL star Jordan Ta'amu, according to his agent, Kenny Zuckerman. Ta'amu was the XFL's third-rated quarterback for the St. Louis BattleHawks this season. Ta'amu completed 72% of his passes for 1,050 yards and a league-leading 12 touchdowns. He was intercepted twice.

          Cowboys OL Travis Frederick, 29, announces retirement

          Dallas Cowboys Pro Bowl center Travis Frederick announced his retirement via Twitter on Monday. The move came as something of a surprise to the Cowboys, but sources said there had been rumblings that Frederick, who just turned 29, was contemplating walking away.

A source told ESPN's Adam Schefter that Seattle is giving up a fifth-round pick for Dunbar.

          CB Jimmy Smith re-signing with Ravens on 1-year deal

          The Baltimore Ravens re-signed cornerback Jimmy Smith to a one-year deal, keeping one of the NFL's most talented secondaries intact. Smith can earn up to $6 million this season, agent Drew Rosenhaus told ESPN's Adam Schefter.

          Giants land RB Dion Lewis on one-year deal

          The New York Giants have one of the NFL's most dynamic running backs in Saquon Barkley. But injuries happen, so the team was in the market for a solid backup option, and the Giants appear to have landed on Dion Lewis, most recently of the Tennessee Titans, as reported by ESPN's Josina Anderson. The Pitt product finished 2019 with 209 rushing yards on 54 attempts and 25 receptions for 164 yards.

          Redskins release S Montae Nicholson after three seasons

          The Washington Redskins on Monday released starting free safety Montae Nicholson, who became expendable once they signed Sean Davis last week.

          Nicholson started 26 games for Washington the past three seasons, but he struggled at times with injuries and off-field issues. Nicholson missed eight games because of injuries as a rookie in 2017, but he flashed potential with his range in the defensive backfield.

          Jets re-up with LB Jordan Jenkins

          The New York Jets have brought back outside linebacker Jordan Jenkins on a one-year, $5 million contract, as reported by ESPN's Rich Cimini. Jenkins finished 2018 with a team-high eight sacks.

          Saints sign CB/S Deatrick Nichols from XFL's Roughnecks

          The XFL-to-NFL pipeline continues. After P.J. Walker agreed to terms with the Carolina Panthers earlier Monday, the New Orleans Saints got in on the action by signing defensive back Deatrick Nichols, per Nichols' agent. Nichols most recently played in the NFL in 2018, appearing in two games for the Arizona Cardinals.

          Sources: Patriots release kicker Stephen Gostkowski after 14 seasons

          The New England Patriots have released longtime kicker Stephen Gostkowski, sources confirmed to ESPN. Gostkowski is the Patriots' all-time leading scorer, with 1,775 points. He was the longest-tenured Patriot following Tom Brady's departure in free agency, having just finished his 14th season with the team.

          Sources: Redskins get QB Kyle Allen in trade with Panthers

          The Carolina Panthers have traded quarterback Kyle Allen to the Washington Redskins for a late-round draft pick, sources told ESPN's Adam Schefter. Allen will be reunited with his former coach Ron Rivera in Washington. Allen became the Panthers' starter in Week 3 because of Cam Newton's foot injury.

          XFL star QB P.J. Walker to sign with Panthers

          XFL star quarterback P.J. Walker has confirmed to ESPN that he will sign with the Carolina Panthers. Walker will become the first XFL player to join an NFL team since the upstart football league announced Friday that its inaugural season had been canceled because of the coronavirus pandemic. The signing will reunite Walker with Panthers first-year coach Matt Rhule, who coached Walker for four years at Temple.

          Reports: Bears, LB Barkevious Mingo agree to one-year deal

          The Chicago Bears agreed to terms with free-agent linebacker Barkevious Mingo on a one-year deal Sunday night, according to multiple reports.

          Mingo, a 2013 first-round pick out of LSU by the Browns, had just six tackles for Houston in 2019 in his only season with the Texans. The Bears will be Mingo's sixth NFL team.

          Source: Cowboys DE Randy Gregory files for reinstatement

          Dallas Cowboys defensive end Randy Gregory, suspended indefinitely in February 2019, has officially filed for reinstatement to the NFL, a source told ESPN. Under the league's substance abuse policy, the NFL has to make a decision on Gregory's status in the next 60 days.

          The New England Patriots have agreed to terms on a one-year contract with veteran quarterback Brian Hoyer, a source confirmed. Hoyer returns for his third stint with the Patriots, joining 2019 fourth-round draft pick Jarrett Stidham and five-year veteran Cody Kessler as the three quarterbacks on the roster.

          Thin at cornerback after releasing their 2019 starters, the New York Jets agreed to terms on Sunday with former Indianapolis Colts cornerback Pierre Desir, a source confirmed. Desir, 29, released Saturday by the Colts, will sign a one-year contract, another source said.

          The New Orleans Saints are bringing back veteran safety D.J. Swearinger on a one-year deal, a source confirmed to ESPN. Swearinger, 28, joined the Saints in late December after being released by the Cardinals and Raiders earlier in 2019. He was only active for one game, in Week 17. But he could earn a role with New Orleans by offering depth in the secondary and on special teams.

          CB Darius Slay to wear No. 24 with Eagles to honor Kobe Bryant

          Philadelphia Eagles cornerback Darius Slay said Saturday he plans to switch to No. 24 with his new team to honor Kobe Bryant. Slay, who was traded last week by the Lions to the Eagles, wore No. 23 the past six seasons in Detroit.
