Indianapolis Colts fans haven't seen Peyton Manning in his full blue-and-white uniform since the Jets knocked the Colts out of the playoffs Jan. 8, 2010.
Until now, that is.
With the unveiling of Manning's statue fast approaching, the team released a video Tuesday of No. 18 donning his old game-day outfit for a photoshoot, presumably to produce the image that will be immortalized in bronze outside Lucas Oil Stadium on Oct. 7.
True to his reputation, Manning appears to be taking the shoot very seriously, emphasizing precise throwing mechanics and gesticulating at the "line of scrimmage" while running through his cadence and pointing out the Mike linebacker.
As soon as the 18 jersey goes on, it's like he never took it off.

Longtime teammate Reggie Wayne was amused, pointing out that Manning's convincing performance was probably the product of plenty of practice over the years.
Crazy thing is... I really think this dude did this at his house on the regular each week for preparation. 😂😂😂 @colts #Colts #Routine https://t.co/VCkavvR4GN

To make the performance even more authentic, Manning is wearing a Reebok jersey and pants in the video. Reebok gear hasn't been used by the league since 2011, the year he spent on injured reserve following four neck surgeries, before his release the following offseason.
The team has planned a weeklong celebration around the statue unveiling, including opportunities for fans to take photos with a live bronze statue of Manning on Oct. 6 and 7. The statue itself will be unveiled Oct. 7, the day before his jersey will be retired and the QB will be inducted into the Colts' Ring of Honor during halftime of the team's game against the San Francisco 49ers.
