Australia Under 20s have named a 22-man squad for their first match at the iRB Junior World Championship against Canada in Newport on Friday (Saturday AEST).
The starting XV boasts seven players with Super 14 experience and the majority of the squad has also represented Australia at Schoolboy or U19 level.
Queensland Reds duo Will Genia and Quade Cooper will form the halves combination, while Waratahs centre Rob Horne will also be unleashed on the Canadians.
Horne's Waratahs team mate, Kurtley Beale, has withdrawn from the squad after sustaining an ankle injury in the Super 14 final against the Crusaders last weekend and has been replaced by Rowan Kellam.
Coach Brian Melrose has opted for pace out wide with Blair Connor and Ratu Nasiganiyavi on the wings, with Western Force's Dane Haylett-Petty starting at fullback.
Captain David Pocock will be joined in the back row by Ben McCalman and Tom Murday, while locks Sam Wykes and Rob Simmons will be expected to dominate at line-out time.
Tetera Faulkner, James Hanson and Waratah Dan Palmer make up a strong front row for the young Australian forward pack.
On the bench are forwards Nathan Charles, Albert Anae, Steve Mafi and Seilala Lam and backs Richard Kingi, Jeremy Sua and Junior Sovala.
Brian Melrose said that it had been a whirlwind final two weeks before the tournament but the squad was now looking forward to the task ahead.
"It's always a big challenge to build a team in a short period but the attitude and work ethic of all the players in the squad has been excellent," said Melrose.
"We know we have brought a strong team to Wales but there are plenty of other good outfits here as well so we know we have to hit the ground running against Canada tomorrow."
The Australians are also scheduled to play Fiji (10 June) and England (14 June) in Pool C and will need to win all three matches to qualify for the semi-finals of the inaugural iRB Junior World Championship.
