The AFL on Wednesday confirmed the salary cap and list sizes for the 2021 season, with players set to take a small cut, while lists will be no bigger than 44 down from 47.
Announced following the conclusion of the 2020 trade and free agency periods, teams were left in the dark about lists and cap space. It's now been revealed the salary cap (including additional services agreements [ASA]) has been cut nine percent from $14.5 million to $13.1 million.
List sizes have also been slashed by three to a maximum of 44 including Category B rookies.
...more to come.
