Green Archers star Ricci Rivero announces he is leaving La Salle

It looks like Ricci Rivero is on his way out of the Green Archers.

On his twitter account @RicciRivero06 on Thursday morning, the young forward hinted that his time with the De La Salle University is finished.

"All good things come to an end," Rivero wrote. "Thank You to the La Sallian community for the support you've given me."

The 19-year-old has been under a whirlwind of controversies ever since he announced that he will go a leave of absence from the team alongside Brent Paraiso and brother Prince.

Last March, he shut down rumors of his alleged drug use. During that time, he already insinuated that apparent transfer was imminent with him thanking the La Salle management and bosses.

On Thursday, it seems that he already made his final goodbye.

Rivero is coming of his breakout year in the UAAP. He won the Most Improved Player award and was a Mythical Team selection with averages of 13.8 points in 48 percent shooting, 5.3 rebounds, 2.1 assists, and 1.6 steals.

Earlier this year, he was named to the Gilas 23 for '23 selection, a pool of the best and most promising young Filipino players from which the Philippines team for the 2023 FIBA World Cup, which the country is co-hosting, will be picked. Rivero attended a few Gilas practices in February, initially just observing but eventually suiting up.

"The Animo spirit will always be with me. It's now time to move forward," he closed.
