Plays that shaped Packers' season No. 9: Aaron Rodgers misses Randall Cobb in Carolina

GREEN BAY, Wis. -- The Green Bay Packers were on the field for 2,982 plays combined on offense, defense and special teams in 18 games, including playoffs, during the 2015 season. Most of those will be forgotten, but some will be remembered for years to come.

As we review the season that ended with an overtime playoff loss for the second year in a row, we will look back on 10 plays (in reverse order) that most shaped the season.

Here's No. 9:

Game: Packers vs. Panthers, Week 9

Date: Nov. 8, 2015

Location: Bank of America Stadium; Charlotte, N.C.

The play: Aaron Rodgers' interception on fourth-and-goal with 1:54 remaining

Why it mattered: Rodgers had rallied the Packers from a 27-7 deficit, cut Carolina's lead to 37-29 and had a fourth-and-goal from the 4-yard line at the two-minute warning. A touchdown and a two-point conversion would have tied the score. Rodgers had Cobb wide open in the right flat after a perfectly executed natural pick play, and he didn't see him. Instead, Rodgers was under pressure and was picked off by linebacker Thomas Davis. When Rodgers went to the sideline, he saw a still shot of Cobb wide open and threw his tablet to the ground. It was the Packers' second straight loss after their 6-0 start.

Quotable: "I had an easy opportunity for a pitch-and-catch touchdown, and I got scared by something," Rodgers said after the game. "I can't explain it. It was a mistake by myself. I'll definitely be thinking about that one on the ride home."
