Division III standout QB Joe Callahan among Packers' 19 undrafted rookies

GREEN BAY, Wis. – The Green Bay Packers signed 19 undrafted free agents. They announced following the signings on Friday morning, shortly before their rookie orientation camp began:

Geronimo Allison, WR, Illinois (6-2, 202): Caught a team-leading 65 passes for 881 yards and two touchdowns last season. Spent two years at Iowa Western after being academically ineligible for football until his senior year of high school. Ran a 4.67 40-yard dash at the combine. Only four receivers ran slower.

Kentrell Brice, S, Louisiana Tech (5-11, 200): Non-combine invitee who ran a 4.38 40 at his pro day, where plenty of scouts were in attendance to see teammate Vernon Butler, a first-round pick of the Carolina Panthers.

Beniquez Brown, ILB, Mississippi State: (6-1, 236): Left school after his redshirt junior seasons. Ran a 4.77 40 at the combine, which ranked 17th among the 30 linebackers who ran.

Joe Callahan, QB, Wesley College (6-1, 216): Non-combine invitee who made a pre-draft visit to the Packers. Won the Gagliardi Trophy given best football player in Division III. Became the only D-III quarterback to throw for 5,000 yards in a single season (he threw for 5,036). He also threw 55 touchdowns last season, the second most in D-III history.

Makinton Dorleant, CB, Northern Iowa (5-11, 177): Non-combine invitee who ran a 4.40 40 at his pro day. Originally committed to Wisconsin, signed with Maryland but transferred to UNI after one season.

Jacob Flores, C, Dartmouth (6-3, 300): Played left tackle as a sophomore and junior before moving to center as a senior. Named All-Ivy League first team as a senior.

Reggie Gilbert, OLB, Arizona (6-4, 262): Non-combine invitee who played defensive end in college and had 14 sacks in four years trained for the draft as an outside linebacker.

David Grinnage, TE, North Carolina State (6-5, 248): Ran a 4.73 40 at the combine, which compared favorable to the top tight end taken, Hunter Henry (second round, 4.72 40). Caught 52 passes, including eight touchdowns, in his last two years at NC State.

Josh Hawkins, CB, East Carolina (5-10, 185): Non-combine invitee reportedly ran a 4.37 40 at his pro day.

Don Jackson, RB, Nevada (5-10, 205): Non-combine invitee. Rushed for 1,078 yards last season and 957 in 2014. Combined for 15 rushing touchdowns his last two seasons.

Josh James, T, Carroll (6-6, 315): Non-combine invitee who made a pre-draft visit to the Packers. Was a four-year starter at the NAIA school in Montana.

Randall Jette, CB, UMass (6-0, 190): Non-combine invitee. Was a four-year starter with nine career interceptions.

Tyler Kuder, NT, Idaho State (6-3, 311): Non-combine invitee. Posted 92 tackles and had 11 tackles for loss, 3.5 sacks and two forced fumbles as a senior.

Peter Mortell, P, Minnesota (6-2, 200): Non-combine invitee. Green Bay native whose father runs the scoreboard clock at Lambeau Field. Career average of 44.0 yards per punt is best Gophers’ history.

Dennis Parks, WR, Rice (6-1, 201): Non-combine invitee. Finished second in the team with 33 catches for 498 yards and three touchdowns as a senior.

Manoa Pikula, ILB, BYU (6-1, 235): Non-combine invitee. Had two of his 5.5 career sacks last season and registered 144 career tackles.

Brian Price, NT, UT-San Antonio (6-3, 315): Non-combine invitee. Posted 81 tackles, six for a loss and three sacks in three seasons.

Devonte Robinson, WR, Utah State (6-2, 190): Non-combine invitee. His school said he ran a 4.3 40-yard dash at his pro day. Caught 44 passes for 552 yards and four touchdowns in two seasons.

Herb Waters, WR, Miami (6-0, 188): Non-combine invitee. Set career highs with 41 catches for 624 yards last season. Also had a career-high five touchdown catches as a sophomore.
