The Miami Dolphins wrapped up their offseason program Thursday and open training camp in the final week of July at the team's facility in Davie, Florida. Here’s a 53-man roster projection:

Quarterbacks (3): Ryan Tannehill, Matt Moore, Brandon Doughty

The Dolphins have a history of keeping two quarterbacks on the active roster. But Doughty, a seventh-round pick, has the potential to change that line of thinking in training camp.

Running backs (3): Jay Ajayi, Kenyan Drake, Damien Williams

This group is inexperienced and not very deep. There is a lot of pressure on Ajayi to shoulder the load.

Wide receivers (6): Jarvis Landry, DeVante Parker, Kenny Stills, Leonte Carroo, Jakeem Grant, Griff Whalen

This is arguably the deepest position on Miami's roster. The Dolphins could cut a receiver who could make another team.

Tight ends (4): Jordan Cameron, Dion Sims, Thomas Duarte, Jake Stoneburner

The Dolphins will need multiple tight ends to run rookie head coach Adam Gase's offense. This position must be able to catch and block efficiently.

Offensive line (9): Branden Albert, Laremy Tunsil, Mike Pouncey, Billy Turner, Ja'Wuan James, Dallas Thomas, Jermon Bushrod, Jamil Douglas, Kraig Urbik

This group has struggled mightily the past few seasons. The starting five is talented, but can they stay healthy?

Defensive line (9): Mario Williams, Cameron Wake, Andre Branch, Jason Jones, Ndamukong Suh, Earl Mitchell, Jordan Phillips, Chris Jones, Terrence Fede

The defensive line should play much better in 2016. Miami is counting on Williams to have a bounceback season and replace former Dolphin Olivier Vernon.

Linebackers (7): Jelani Jenkins, Kiko Alonso, Koa Misi, Neville Hewitt, Zach Vigil, Spencer Paysinger, Mike Hull

Miami's linebackers still have a lot to prove. The three starters -- Jenkins, Alonso and Misi -- are often injured without much proven depth behind them.

Defensive backs (9): Byron Maxwell, Xavien Howard, Bobby McCain, Tony Lippett, Walt Aikens, Reshad Jones, Isa Abdul-Quddus, Michael Thomas, Jordan Lucas

The secondary is expected to have three new starters this year. Howard, a rookie corner, has a lot on his shoulders opposite Maxwell.

Specialists (3): PK Andrew Franks, P Matt Darr, LS John Denney

This is the same trio from a year ago. Franks and Darr are expected to be more consistent in Year 2.
