When Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao enter the ring at around 8pm local time (4am BST) on Saturday, it will represent the culmination of five years of build-up and numerous failed attempts to make the biggest fight in a generation. Ahead of the showdown at Las Vegas' MGM Grand Garden Arena, impress your friends, relatives and passers-by with all the facts, figures, statistics and profiles from ESPN's coverage of the big fight...

Round 1: Money talks

It's being billed as the richest fight in boxing history and ESPN's Darren Rovell breaks down the numbers on a Saturday night that should bring in more than $400 million (£270m).

Round 2: A different kind of fight

In fact, the camps have taken the unprecedented step of selling tickets to the weigh-in - usually a free event under Nevada state law. Don't worry though, ESPN boxing writer Dan Rafael reports that all proceeds will go to charity. The same can't be said for the cash from the fight itself, tickets for which are fetching up to £85,000 on the resale market.

Round 3: British connection

Mayweather might embody the rags-to-riches story of the American Dream, but there's a British influence at the heart of the undefeated champion's training camp. Nick Parkinson meets Mayweather sparring partner Ashley Theophane, who speaks of the hard work and generosity behind Floyd's often-brash persona.

Round 4: In God he trusts

Manny's camp, meanwhile, sits down with ESPN's sister site Grantland, where the Filipino opens up about the inspiration he draws from his religion.

Round 5: Lifestyles of the rich and famous

Floyd and Manny are both undoubtedly greats of the sport, but that's about where the comparisons end. As All Access discovered, the American lives an eye-wateringly lavish lifestyle, complete with private jet and a garage full of Ferraris he never drives. Pacquiao, on the other hand, spends his spare time recording inspirational songs, pledging to 'fight for the Filipino'.

Round 6: Coach Freddie

Pacquiao's partnership with trainer Freddie Roach is one of the closest relationships in world sport, and the coach reveals their bond extends deep beyond the ring. Roach says that working with the Filipino in his Wild Card gym helps him fend off suicidal thoughts brought on by his Parkinson's disease. The trainer also kicked off the first row of fight week, by claiming that Mayweather hadn't submitted his gloves to be checked by the Nevada State Athletic Commission.

Round 7: Better than Ali?

He's the self-styled 'Best Ever', but is Mayweather really better than the great Muhammad Ali? ESPN's Stephen A Smith asked him the question. The answer was hardly surprising, and it provoked a furious response from Mike Tyson.

Round 8: Preparation is key

Superfight. Megafight. Fight of the century. While Vegas is abuzz with fans and the world's media, how do top fighters shut out the hype to prepare for such career-defining evenings? De La Hoya, Hatton, Holyfield and Hopkins reveal all.

Round 9: Rewind to...

Saturday will not be the only time Mayweather and Pacquiao have fought on the same card. Dan Rafael rewinds to a November evening in 2001, when the two men were merely warm-up acts to the main event.

Round 10: Five years too late?

It's a fight that has been five years in the making, so forget 2015. What would have happened if the two men got it on in 2010? While some have put their heads together to imagine that bout, ESPN boxing columnist Steve Bunce takes a different view - he says this is one fight that won't disappoint.

Round 11: The professionals' view

But what do we know? Boxers both current and retired have been queuing up to give their verdicts ahead of Saturday's showdown. Amir Khan's going for Mayweather, Oscar De La Hoya's heart says Manny, and Sugar Shane Mosley just can't decide.

Round 12: The making of the men

Boxing, perhaps more so than any other sport, is about the characters involved. Tim Keown reports on the beginning of the end for Mayweather, while it's Pablo S. Torre on Manny Pacquiao's world. But who are you going to support? Alan Tyers is here to help.
