Here are five players to watch at the Oakland NFTC on Sunday.
Max Browne (Sammamish, Wash./Skyline)
Browne is scheduled to compete in the Elite 11 regional on Friday as well as Sunday's NFTC, so this will be an extended opportunity to see the No. 13 player in the ESPN 150. Browne, the No. 2 pocket passer in the country, made an early commitment to USC, which put him squarely in the media spotlight. This will be Browne's first big event this spring, and doubling up on invitations to the Elite 11 finals as well as The Opening is a real possibility for the 6-foot-5, 205-pound quarterback.
Darrell Daniels (Oakley, Calif./Freedom)
Daniels has his sights set on earning an invitation to The Opening, and the 6-3, 210-pound wide receiver has the skill to do it. Daniels, No. 52 in the ESPN 150 and the No. 7 receiver overall, has offers from Arkansas, Auburn, Michigan, Notre Dame, Oklahoma and USC, among many others. He and Browne could form a dangerous duo this weekend, as Daniels will be a target for Browne on the field and on the recruiting trail.
