USC kicked off its big recruiting weekend Friday with the announcement of new defensive coordinator Clancy Pendergast's hire, just hours before prospects arrived for their official visits. Six Trojans commits and six other recruits, including five-star defensive prospects Matthew Thomas and Eddie Vanderdoes, converged on campus.
