First there was Run DMC, a New York hip-hop trio from the 1980s and one of the most influential groups in rap history.
Then came Run TMC, a three-man Golden State Warriors combo featuring Tim Hardaway, Mitch Richmond and Chris Mullin.
Last week, we saw the ultimate mash-up between the old-school hip-hop group and the NBA, as Dallas Mavericks stars Dirk Nowitzki, Monta Ellis and Chandler Parsons (DMC!) actually rapped on this amazing video:
In real rap terms, they're certainly no match for Joseph Simmons, Darryl McDaniels and the late Jam Master Jay. But they went for it, and you've gotta respect that.
