PITTSBURGH -- The Steelers added much-needed cornerback depth with Coty Sensabaugh, who signed a two-year contract with the team Monday, the Steelers announced.
Sensabaugh was picking between the Steelers and his 2016 team, the Giants, according to ESPN's Jordan Raanan.
The Steelers tried to sign cornerback Davon House, who picked the Green Bay Packers last week, but they still got pass-coverage help. The Steelers have talked with Sensabaugh about a potential pairing in the past, so they were familiar with his skill set.
The former fourth-round pick spent the first four years of his career with the Tennessee Titans, followed by three games with the Los Angeles Rams and 10 games with the Giants.
Sensabaugh, who has experience as a nickel corner, has 194 career tackles and two interceptions in 72 regular-season games.
The Steelers add Sensabaugh to a cornerback lineup that includes former first-round pick Artie Burns, veteran Ross Cockrell and team captain William Gay.
