QB Josh Allen catches TD pass as Bills get tricky to take early lead

Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen recorded his second career touchdown reception Sunday, on a 12-yard catch-and-run trick play to give the Bills a first-quarter lead against the Arizona Cardinals.

After faking a jet sweep to Isaiah McKenzie on first-and-10 from the Cardinals' 14-yard line, the Bills ran the exact same play on second down -- or so it seemed.

Allen handed the ball off to a motioning McKenzie, who then threw the ball back to an open Allen behind the line of scrimmage.

Allen, with three offensive linemen lead blocking for him, scampered into the end zone to put Buffalo up 7-3 midway through the first quarter.

The touchdown reception was Allen's first in a regular-season game, but the second of his career; he caught a touchdown in the Bills' playoff game against Houston last season.
