NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- Former Tennessee Titans tight end Delanie Walker intends to play again in 2021, a source told ESPN's Adam Schefter. Walker was released by the Titans last March and did not sign with another team for the 2020 season. The veteran tight end played in seven games in 2019, finishing with 21 receptions for 215 yards and two touchdowns. Walker's 2019 season was impacted by lingering injuries, including a broken ankle that he suffered in the 2018 season opener and resulted in him missing the rest of the season. The San Francisco 49ers selected Walker in the sixth round of the 2006 draft. Walker played seven seasons for the 49ers before signing a four-year, $17.5 million contract with the Titans in 2013. He became a focal point of the Titans' passing game over the next five seasons. Walker's best season came in 2015, when he caught 94 passes for 1,088 yards and six touchdowns. At 36 years old, Walker feels he can still contribute to an NFL team.
