          Houston Texans QB Davis Mills follows up 67-yard bomb with flea-flicker for third TD

            HOUSTON -- In the third quarter, the Houston Texans turned to a flea-flicker to open the game up and score their third touchdown pass against the visiting New England Patriots on Sunday.

            After the handoff to running back Mark Ingram II and toss back, Texans rookie quarterback Davis Mills found Chris Conley for a 37-yard touchdown pass.

            After the touchdown, Mills joined Russell Wilson as the only quarterbacks to throw three passing touchdowns against the Bill Belichick Patriots as a rookie.

            In the second quarter on third-and-2, Mills found wide receiver Chris Moore, who was elevated from the practice squad Saturday, to score the team's second touchdown with a 67-yard catch-and-run.

            With the game tied at 6 in the second quarter, Moore made the leaping grab on the sideline before taking off for the touchdown.

            J.C. Jackson, who said he hopes to be a No. 1 cornerback after the team traded All-Pro cornerback Stephon Gilmore earlier in the week, was in position yet failed to make a play on the ball. Safety Devin McCourty's over-pursuit also created the real estate for Moore to run after the catch.

            Texans kicker Ka'imi Fairbairn missed the extra point after each of the Texans' first two touchdowns. This is the second time in Texans history they've missed two extra points in a game.
