North Melbourne vs. Port Adelaide, 7.40pm, Metricon Stadium (AEST)

Team news: Three changes for both the Roos and Power, with North welcoming back skipper Jack Ziebell from a hamstring injury, while Jared Polec and debutant Flynn Perez also come in for Majak Daw, Paul Ahern and Tom Murphy. Meanwhile the Power recall Kane Farrell, Dan Houston and Steven Motlop for Justin Westhoff, Brad Ebert and Riley Bonner.

Prediction: It's very hard to see this one being competitive. Port Adelaide is in a battle for top spot, while North Melbourne is languishing in the bottom two. It could be a big evening for key forward Charlie Dixon who will be looking to strike form as we near finals.

Tip: Power by 39 points.

Result: Power by 36 points.

Sunday, September 6

St Kilda vs. Hawthorn, Metricon Stadium, 1.05pm (AEST)

Team news: The Saints have been dealt a blow with important forward Tim Membrey, out after having surgery on a fractured finger. Also missing is Nick Hind. Jonathon Marsh comes in with Jack Lonie. Hawthorn have made a whopping seven changes, including resting veterans Ben McEvoy and Shaun Burgoyne, while skipper Ben Stratton (ankle) and defender Jarman Impey (hip) also go out. Debutant Damon Greaves highlights a number of young Hawks inclusions, with Will Day, Harry Morrison, Josh Morris and Dylan Moore getting an opportunity.

Prediction: The Saints can still play finals, the Hawks certainly can't - and are coming off an embarrassing loss to the previously winless Crows. This one shouldn't be close, either. Expect Brett Ratten's side to get the job done comfortably and keep their finals hopes alive.

Tip: Saints by 33 points.

Result: Saints by 14 points

Geelong vs. Essendon, Gabba, 3.35pm (AEST)

Team news: Essendon is playing it cautious with star forward Joe Daniher, resting him for the clash against Geelong. He had featured in two games in five days. The Dons are further weakened with gun midfielder Andrew McGrath now out for the season with an ankle injury. Jacob Townsend and Mason Redman come in. For the Cats, injured veteran Jack Steven makes way for youngster Lachie Fogarty.

Prediction: The Bombers have been frustratingly inconsistent of late and come up against perhaps the hottest team in football in Geelong. The Cats have been excelling in defence, while up the other end Tom Hawkins has put a stranglehold on the Coleman Medal. If the Bombers have another slow start, this one could get ugly.

Tip: Cats by 29 points.

Result: Cats by 66 points

Western Bulldogs vs. West Coast, Metricon Stadium, 6:10pm (AEST)

Team news: Spearhead Josh Kennedy headlines West Coast's inclusions, and Jake Waterman and Brayden Ainsworth also return. Former skipper Shannon Hurn has been managed and inexperienced ruckman Bailey Williams left out. The Bulldogs have called up Zaine Cordy to replace injured defender Easton Wood (hamstring). Sam Lloyd and Roarke Smith have also been recalled, with Laitham Vandermeer (hamstring) out and Tory Dickson dropped

Prediction: This could very well be the match of the round. The Bulldogs were gallant last time out in a loss to the Cats and face the Eagles in a must-win clash if they are to play finals in 2020. If they are a chance, the midfield brigade of Marcus Bontempelli, Jack Macrae, Lachie Hunter and Tom Liberatore will have to play a huge role.

Tip: Eagles by 7 points.

Result: Bulldogs by 2 points.

Monday, September 7

Melbourne vs. Fremantle, Cazaly's Stadium, 7:10pm (AEST)

Team news: The Dockers have gone into this match unchanged, while Melbourne have made seven changes; Aaron vandenBerg, Braydon Preuss, Jayden Hunt, Kysaiah Pickett, Michael Hibberd, Oskar Baker and Toby Bedford come in, while Angus Brayshaw (Injured), Charlie Spargo (Omitted), James Harmes (Injured), Josh Wagner (Omitted), Mitch Brown (Omitted), Nathan Jones (Injured) and Oscar McDonald (Omitted) go out.

Prediction: Last week the Dees played like a side who didn't really want to make finals. Can they turn it around this week against the Dockers? They will need a much improved performance from young forward Sam Weideman who had just two disposals against the Swans. It could be tight, but Melbourne simply must win it.

Tip:

Result: Dockers by 14 points.

Tuesday, September 8

Adelaide vs. GWS, Adelaide Oval, 5:40pm (AEST)

Team news: Just the once change for Adelaide, who have recalled Andrew McPherson for Myles Poholke. GWS have made four changes, with Jye Caldwell, Sam J. Reid, Sam Jacobs and Zac Langdon coming in for Brent Daniels (Injured), Harry Perryman (Injured), Shane Mumford (Managed) and Zac Williams (Injured).

Prediction: The Giants were poor against the Blues but somehow found a way to secure a valuable four points. This week they come up against the Crows, who have just tasted their first victory of the season. No doubt they will be up and about and that could spell danger for GWS.

Tip: Giants by 17 points.

Odds: Crows $3.70, Giants $1.28

Carlton vs. Sydney, Gabba, 7:10pm (AEST)

Team news: The Swans go in unchanged, while Carlton have brought in David Cuningham, Lachie Plowman, debutant Matthew Owies and Tom De Koning, for Cameron Polson (Omitted), Eddie Betts (Managed), Marc Pittonet (Managed) and Paddy Dow (Omitted).

Prediction: The Blues aren't playing finals after back-to-back losses to Collingwood and GWS, so with the pressure off, they may play better football. With that said, the Swans have been impressive in recent weeks and should give them a real run for their money.

Tip: Blues by 9 points.

Odds: Blues $1.55, Swans $2.45

Wednesday, September 9

Brisbane vs. Gold Coast, Gabba, 7:10pm (AEST)

Team news: TBA

Prediction: It's one of the more intriguing Q-clashes. Both sides are young, playing great football and could be about to play out a thriller. The Lions should win but anything can happen in these rivalry games.

Tip: Lions by 14 points.

Odds: TBA
