A breakdown of the Cleveland Browns 2017 draft class and its progress after two weeks of training camp:

Myles Garrett, DE, first round: Garrett has lived up to every expectation of the first overall pick. He's worked hard, kept a great attitude and stayed humble. In his one quarter on the field against the New Orleans Saints, he played extremely well. There is every reason to believe Garrett will be a good player.

David Njoku, TE, first round: It's been a tough camp for Njoku after a promising spring. He's fought catching the ball, which has led to drops, and missed the first preseason game with a back issue. The Browns hoped Njoku would be the starting tight end. If that's going to happen, it has to happen in the final three preseason games.

Jabrill Peppers, S, first round: Peppers had limited time at safety before this week and had been listed as a backup. But he had an outstanding practice on Monday with the ones, and seems to be growing into a starter's role quickly. As a returner, he looked like a natural.

DeShone Kizer, QB, second round: Kizer put himself into the team's discussion about starting quarterback by throwing for 184 yards and a game-winning touchdown on fourth down in the second half against the Saints. Browns coach Hue Jackson said he's not yet comfortable putting Kizer in as the starter, but if Kizer keeps improving he may give Jackson no choice.

Larry Ogunjobi, DT, third round: Ogunjobi is one of the Browns' better stories -- the first NFL game he ever attended he played in against New Orleans -- but he's been quiet on the field, as undrafted free agent Trevon Coley moved ahead of him in the rotation against New Orleans.

Howard Wilson, CB, fourth round: Wilson may not play this season after injuring his knee in May. If Wilson gets on the field it won't be until the second half of the season.

Rod Johnson, OT, fifth round: Johnson has a ways to go. He's struggled in pass protection and needs to gain strength. He may be a practice squad candidate.

Caleb Brantley, DT, sixth round: Brantley was doing good things until he was sidelined by a broken finger. Brantley could return for the game against the New York Giants, but that has to be determined.

Zane Gonzalez, PK, seventh round: Gonzalez has not separated himself in the kicking derby with Cody Parkey, though Gonzalez did get the first opportunity against the Saints.

Matthew Dayes, RB, seventh round: Dayes was angered that he was not selected until the seventh round, and he's used it well. He has looked good running the ball. He runs hard and aggressively attacks openings. It would be a shock if he's not on the team.
