BEREA, Ohio -- NFL commissioner Roger Goodell sang the first seven words of “Moon River” on “The Joe Thomas Hour” this week.
That was just one highlight as Goodell became a guest on Thomas’ regular feature on the Cleveland Browns' website.

Thomas has not been shy about criticizing Goodell, especially concerning the NFL's suspension of New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady, but he kept this interview consistent with other Joe Thomas Hour interviews, which is to say light.
Wearing his signature top hat with the question mark -- something that was discussed on ESPN’s E:60 featuring Thomas on Sunday morning -- Thomas first asked Goodell the most famous person he has as a contact on his phone.
When Goodell said Jim Brown, Thomas congratulated him for knowing his audience.
Thomas asked Goodell to demonstrate his dance if he scored a touchdown, a reference to Goodell loosening the rules on touchdown celebrations this year.
“Im sort of like A.J. Green on that one, I’m handing the ball to the official...” Goodell said. “You know what? I can’t dance, too.”
Evidently Goodell can sing.
Thomas asked him his go-to song in karaoke, and Goodell said he hadn’t done karaoke in a long time, but his last song was “Moon River.”
Thomas asked, and Goodell crooned the first seven words -- and sounded good doing it.
Goodell complimented Thomas’ top hat but wondered what the question mark was all about.
“Because I’m the question master,” Thomas said.
Thomas’ final question was about the tag line to The Joe Thomas Hour -- “the best two minutes of your life.”
“How close to the best two minutes of your life was that?” Thomas asked.
“Other than my wife and kids Joe,” Goodell said, “you’re right up there.”
