HOUSTON -- Houston Texans coach Bill O'Brien is confident wide receiver Will Fuller will make his 2018 debut on Sunday against the Tennessee Titans.
Fuller missed the Texans' season-opening loss to the Patriots with a hamstring injury but has not missed a practice in the buildup to Week 2. The third-year receiver injured his hamstring during training camp and did not play in the preseason.
"The hamstring is always tricky, because you don’t want to rush it back," Fuller said. "I feel real confident now. Like I said, I’m glad to be back."
The Texans missed Fuller's speed against the Patriots and had a hard time spreading the field without him. His presence should take some of the attention off fellow wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins, who had eight catches for 78 yards in New England.
Fuller and Deshaun Watson played in four games together last season before the quarterback tore his ACL. In that limited time, Fuller caught 13 passes for 279 yards and seven touchdowns.
"The sky is the limit with us playing together," Fuller said. "So, now that we’re all back, we’ll see where we can take off from here."
